Just finished reading Bao Ninh's Sorrow of War. I have to write a paper that compares/contrasts that book with The Things They Carried for my Vietnam War class. Sorrow of War is one of the saddest books I have ever read (it was about a soldier in the North Vietnamese Regular Army) but I read it straight through and "loved" it (I put in quotes because there is not really one real good event in the entire book, there might be some good moments, but they are massively overshadowed by later events). Best book I have read in awhile, I liked it better than All Quiet on the Western Front. My prof can be a bit high on himself but I am really glad I had to read this book. I know here on OS we have a guy who wrote a book about his times in Vietnam, I might check that out this summer.

If anybody is looking for a book about Vietnam with a different perspective, check out Sorrow of War. It can be a confusing read (explained at the end of the book) but it is worth it.

Dang, I graduate this Friday. Plus I've been out of class since Tuesday.

Yeah, this is our last week of "real" school before finals and graduation rehearsals and stuff. Juniors, sophs, and freshmen have to come to school on June 9th and 10th, but we graduate the 6th.

Noz could be both the best and worst energy drink ever. I drank one at noon today and I am still wide eyed at 12:30 tonight. The good news is that its probably the best energy drink I've ever had, even better than Red Bull. The bad news is that I'm still wide eyed at 12:30 this morning and I have to go pick up a trailer in Cheyenne Wyoming in the morning.
