I bought the two volume Mr. Moto series on DVD from ioffer. I got it for a very cheap price. I can't wait to watch those old movies as I saw one of the Mr. Moto films on TCM a while ago and besides Peter Lorre was a great actor, if a bit creepy.

Got a bunch of great books for free tonight. I loaned some of mine to this guy at my dad's work. Turns out the guy is moving to California and doesn't have room for his books and gave them to me. I got about 300 bucks worth of books and some old ones that are very rare and could be worth something, not that I plan on selling.

I wish we had rain here instead of the 90-95 degrees! Our winter was something like your end-of-summer/early-spring. I'm tired of this dry land...few more years like that and we won't have water to drink. Already we have a massive campaign here for saving water. This time it's serious.

I'm by no means a Giants fan but the Giants have re-done their history section and it's fantastic. I wish more teams would do this officially

It is a shame, although as a whole I think the NFL is one of the worst leagues in letting us forget it's history.

Does anyone else hate the Little League World Series as much as I do? Next to the World Series of Poker, I think it's the most wasteful slotting of a sporting event on ESPN; I have no desire to watch it, and don't quite understand why anyone else not in the know of Little League baseball would either.

And the commercials for it are incredibly annoying.

I hate the LLWS not because it's a waste of time but because the kids get WAAY too much attention and such that it's a little scary.

Anyways my hearing aids are right on schedule. I need new ones next month and at the very moment the aids that I have are starting to go on the blink. At least I can still hear and all but the mic that picks up phone and headphone audio is seriously compromised. Good thing I have volume control on my phones. Hopefully I get my new aids soon.

I don't mind it. It's kind of like college baseball, you don't hear/see it until the tournament, but it's pretty fun to watch.

I do agree though, that kids of that age don't need all the attention they are getting. Don't want some of these kids thinking they are invincible by boosting their egos at the age of 12. Then again, it would be sweet to have all that attention at a young age.
