I do agree with you jerseyboi that nowadays parents aren't doing their job. I also like the point you made about parents not talking "to" their kid, but "at" their kid. That's so true.

About the rapists and pedophiles, maybe its just my neighborhood, but we don't have that problem here. So children are safe outdoors (I was back in the day!), and they have no reason not to go outside.

So you are right that parents aren't doing their job, but technology can be blamed as well. Television and the Internet are the reason our children are inactive. Nowadays, a child runs home after school so he/she can watch TV; play on a game console or go on the Internet. When I was a kid, I'd run home from school to get a hockey stick or a soccer ball, and run back to school to play with other kids in the park. This has changed though, as I mentioned. Has the rise in child obesity not shown in North America? Parents must do their job in talking to their children, but technology has its negatives as well.

How can you possibly know that, especially considering Quebec refuses to establish a sex offender registry?

Isn't the age of consent 14 anyway up there?

I mentioned my neighborhood, not all of Quebec. Obviously, there will bee sex offenders everywhere, but should our children just stay locked in their homes forever?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Quebec government is disgusting. That's why I enjoy living in L.A and New York for 6-8 months every year!

It's not the technology's fault for parents not getting their kids away from tv and computers. I'm part of the "internet generation" yet I've always played sports, along with most of the people that I know. If kids going on the internet too much is a problem then it's the parents who need to limit the time that their kid is doing that.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

              16 in Canada now.

And wtf at these people. Although I must say that I have more than my fair share of dinners in front of the TV and I'm not beating on random people because they talk **** over the internet.
