That marine hit it on the head fellas. I was going to post it but I see someone had posted it but it needs further emphasis. Muscle mass burns fat. Muscle needs calories to exist. It's always hungry so the more you got the more it burns. Cardio, in my opinion, is just a tool to give you the wind you need to help you do more weight training.
All that other good stuff you guys mention is on point but you really should get the muscle on. Now you might not get the weight loss in effect because you'll be gaining muscle mass but you'll get "the look" faster than if you don't do the weight training.And take it from me, give up the beer.
Of course I type this with my 4th Corona for the night in my hand.
