Re: Do you have any respect for any pro league commish?
My point is that there's no reason not to have every team in each division play the same schedule when there's 162 games. If there's 16 games, it might be too difficult to do.
Let me solve this right now. In the NL East (5 teams in division, 11 teams out of division), each team could face each divisional rival 24 times (about seven series), and each out-of-division team 6 times (about two series).
It's just so simple to make a fair league... too bad $$$ is the only thing standing in the wayComment

And pleasing the fans. You seem like the guy who would have been pissed when they installed lights at Wrigley.
It would also be most fair to build fifteen identical stadiums in the middle of kansas and have all the games take place at the exact same time. Do you think this is a good idea? Is money the only thing stopping MLB form doing it?Comment

Re: Do you have any respect for any pro league commish?
I'll try to explain how I see MLB as best as I can but bear with me.
Major League Baseball is a "big tent" of sorts for the two premiere baseball leagues in the world. Consider this extremely lame example: If McDonald's and Burger King were both leagues in Major League Fast Food. They could have the same commissioner, same draft (for workers), same pretty much everything, but there's two big differences: They aren't the same league, and they have different menus (rules).
Bud Selis is the commissioner of both the American League and the National League as a whole when he is in charge of the "big tent" called Major League Baseball. It's not the same as the NFL or NBA.Comment

ROFL I just saw this when rereading this thread. WTF do you think the "L" in MLB is?Comment

Re: Do you have any respect for any pro league commish?
Just because some guy in Queens wants to see the Mets play the Yankees every year doesn't mean interleague is good for baseball.
I couldn't care less about that dump Wrigley either
That idea is completely impractical. Can you show me how any idea I've proposed has been impractical in any way?Comment

Re: Do you have any respect for any pro league commish?
Since its inception in 1997, Interleague Play has drawn 13.1 percent more fans than intraleague games.
How is it impractical? It would make the league more fair! Isn't that what you want? You dont seem to care about the fans at all. Since ideas that make money are ruining the league in your opinion, then ideas that lose money must be great!Originally posted by TheGamingChefThat idea is completely impractical. Re: Do you have any respect for any pro league commish?
Tell me how one of my ideas is impractical. Unless you truly believe that fifteen stadiums in Kansas is a good idea.
I care about the game. I want to see a fair league with fair competition, that allows the best teams to make the playoffs and allows each league to send its best team to the World Series. Apparently you care about getting to watch the White Sox play the Cubs more than that.
Making money isn't necessarily bad of course, but it's not automatically good either.Comment

You seem to have completely ignored the article that states interleague play attendance is over 13 percent higher on average than intraleague play, and was 15.4 percent higher least season. It's obvious that the fans like this.I care about the game. And your impractical idea was having just the Bears play an AFL team. Tell me how you can have each team in the NFL play 16 games when one and only one plays an AFL team for one. That's actually mathematically impossible, whereas it isn't hard to find space in Kansas to build 15 baseball fields. You don't need room for bleachers or parking, sometimes fans can impact the game and that makes it unfair for all teams. Gotta get rid of that.Comment

Re: Do you have any respect for any pro league commish?
The only "fair" leagues out there are double round-robin soccer leagues. As long as teams with different schedules compete for the same spot, it isn't "fair."Comment
