Nice link. Our founding fathers would scorn at us today when they would see how we are inching towards socialism. We've done just about everything that they warned us against.

Heck, we're heading towards the demise of the United States IMO if we don't do something. If you look back on history, we're experiencing four commons factors with the demise of the Roman Empire: 1.) Fiscal irresponsibility (both by the government and by ourselves), 2.) Decline of moral values (sex, cursing, porn, ect.), 3.) Military stretched around the world beyond it's ability, 4.) Inability to control our own borders.

This country is going to go bankrupt within 20-30 years if we don't do anything about our congressmen and president spending like crazy. You wouldn't believe how much debt we have and it's only going to get worse. I believe we are $53 TRILLION in debt at this moment and that is growing by the second. You should seriously watch I.O.U.S.A. (I have not seen it yet, but hope to) because it exposes the fiscal irresponsibility that your government doesn't want you to know about. It's dire.

1. It is hard to argue the inappropriate government spending, then again that helps the world economy thrive and is very cyclical, it will simply cycle back in our favor soon.

2. There is no real decline in the morality of this country, it is more so people getting on their soap boxes and proclaiming something to be so that they know little about.

3. We are currently engaged in 2 active conflicts, not exactly to stretching for our military. Besides a reimplementation of the draft would help add some numbers.

4. Our inability to control our borders is a little different than it was in Roman times. It isn't like we have Mexico and Canada taking US land.

And just out of curiosity how can you tell us what a movie or documentary stands for it you haven't seen it yourself? You are simply regurgitating what others have said about the film with no true knowledge of the substance. And given some of your rants, I have serious reservations about any objectivity they would have on the matter.

Didn't you say you got caught with alcohol? 9 times out of 10, you have to be doing something unreasonably stupid to get in trouble (don't start jmood).

This I do disagree with.

Just from a common sense point of view, you have to see that we are moving further from the teaching of church (i.e. what most sane people would admit is morality based teachings). From same sex marriage, to the constant quest for the removal of the word "God" from anything in the legal world, to the excess of brain dead entertainment programming known as "Reality TV".

People move further and further away from morality daily. Now whether that was always in people, and it took a spark from the past few decades to ignite it, or it is a recent trend in human behavior.... I can't answer that.

I can without question say that we as a society are far less moral than our family members of just 50 years ago.
