Re: Have you ever stopped rooting for one of your teams?

I'm currently under a big problem here.

I really like Hockey. I really, really do. But the Blue Jackets are operated like a pee-wee team. That and I'm starting to find their players really annoying.

So...should I stick it out and pray that one day the Blue Jackets are a good team that may actually make the playoffs, or find a new team?

    What would you do?

I just wanted to reaffirm that I really, really hate Brett Favre

I realized today that its not that I'm uncomfortable with the Jets... its the fact that I detest everything about Favre and his chit-chats with Millen really pushed me over the edge. Seeing Coles/Washington and others bust their butt today and win despite Favre's best efforts got me back on track.

Phew... when Favre leaves (hopefully after this season) and I'm assured that Kellen Clemens won't be behind center afterwards, all will be well again for me.

I'm starting to enjoy Phins games now too which is scary- I need to get over my man-crush on Pennington ASAP

I stopped pulling for the Bulls for a brief period when MJ retired.

I used to be a Lakers fan but I stopped rooting for them sometime when all that BS with Kobe was happening, all that rape and nonsense. I got tired of defending him and the Lakers on forums or in public when my friends would be arguing and whatnot. So I jumped off the wagon and became a Knicks fan for the past few years.

Re: Have you ever stopped rooting for one of your teams?

Reds & Titans are my teams until I die. I was raised to love the Reds and I love them even more now. They are terrible, but I follow their every move. The Titans are my Sundays in the fall and winter. It's a stressful 3 hours at times, but this season has been wonderful. I don't expect them to win tonight, but it wouldn't surprise me either.

The only team that I really quit following was UK basketball. When I was a kid, I loved them, but when I was about 12 I starting following Carolina. That lasted for 8 or 10 years. Now, I can't watch basketball for more than 20 minutes without turning the channel. It's all about baseball and the NFL for me now. I really don't like any kind of college sports except for baseball. I could watch any kind of baseball.
            NFL: Tennessee Titans
            MLB: Cincinnati Reds

How's that working out for you?
I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.
