The size of Irma, I imagine both of us will get hit, but the models are shifting east(I know they'll probably flip flop as they usually do pre landfall) ala Matthew. Looks like it'll ride I95.

Don't play around with this, guys. If you get an evac order - GO!

Believe me, I'm deathly serious about things like this, my anxiety just gets the better of me when storms come by. Not in an evac zone but if they tell me to go, I'm gone. Hope you're doing ok in Houston.

IRMA is just a monster. I'm in central NC and we'll most likely be looking at mass power outages that last several days. Prayers go out to all along the coastline. This storm scares me. Being a bit of a weather nerd there is usually a part of me that gets a little excited when a hurricane is out there. I'm not feeling that this time around.

Thoughts with everyone in Irmas way. This one looks really bad. I'm in northwest Florida so it looks like the heaviest part of the storm will miss me but of course these things are unpredictable.

Jose is beefing up to a cat 4 right behind Irma. Man...

Gonna have to ride this one out. I 75 is backed up and being able to acquire gas while out is an issue.

Can't go anywhere now either because like terpin said getting enough gas is an issue. Hopefully it stays away but if not I'll be going to my dads. He's not in an evacuation zone and more inland so not as much of a flood risk from the storm surge and his house is new(my apartment was built in the 80's and in an evacuation zone.. they're calling for potentially 5 feet of storm surge). Either that or we'll go to public shelter.

Hopefully everyone else in the path stays safe. This one sounds pretty bad.

I have extended family (paternal aunt and uncle) staying slightly south of Orlando - and they're right in the path. Be safe if you're riding it out.
