Tornado touched down locally Friday night, the cell formed and we got the dreaded "golf ball size hail" warning. Luckily it didn't hit where I'm at, it built strength and moved southeast of me and formed fully and hit Perry, MI, still waiting on details but they declared state of emergency, so probly not good, although that might be standard protocol


edit: the thing that is bugging me is it's been over a day and still no update, probly because it's such a small city, but still

we get a lot of warnings, but usually it's just rotations on radar and they have to give the warning, they don't usually touch down



Gaylord, MI got an EF 3 last year, it's so rare there they don't even have a siren system, and unfortunately they got crushed

It's been super windy for the last couple of days, barely feels like summer. Not that I miss the heat wave.

Idaho is getting hit with what is coming up from California with the hurricane/tropical storm.

We went from 103-105 degrees the last 12 days to 73-79 degrees for the next 5 days.

Epic rain and wind incoming.

Looks like Idalia is going to make it a point to either hit up by the big bend area or cross the state. I'm on the eastern side of the state, but heads up and stay safe west coasters.

The weather channels system was hacked and its been down for a day and everyone's freaking out that they can't find out the weather (as easily at least...not like there's not many other places to google weather info). The app, website and tv channel isn't working.

Everyone's realizing what it's like to live life pre 2010?

It's crazy how your body becomes conditioned to basically hell that highs in the 80's and lows in the 70's seem great.

It's gonna be near 70 today, but this weekend is gonna be a wash out because there's some kind of tropical disturbance making its way up the east coast.

Lots of trees already changing to yellow tone, definitely feels like fall, as it's officially starting today. Looking forward to more fall and winter, these are my favorite seasons.

This whole thing has been so messed up, I can't even remember any network or service being this impacted for as long as it's been now. To this day it's not even fixed fully.

Who knows how or why they even got hacked or how it's taken this long to try and fix things. Did they give a wrong forecast to someone who got caught in a thunderstorm without an umbrella and they devoted their life's work to ruin the weather network?

Don't even think hacking them would lead to data being stolen, but who knows, and even then, you don't even sign up for accounts or give emails or anything for using their service. At most maybe the only info from your phone is your location, but that's it.
