18 inches in 12 hours. This is going to get really bad. I've already had a few friends house flood. The ditch behind my backyard is getting close. I'm not sure this city can take 3-4 more days of this.

That's the scariest part of all. There is flooding everywhere, and this is only the beginning. We're going to be getting these rains through Wednesday!

Hopefully, as the center of the storm moves closer to Houston, the dirty side is pushed toward Beaumont and Louisiana and gives us some relief by Tuesday or so.

They just said the region has gotten 419 billion gallons of rain thus far. Wow.

We're nowhere near Texas levels of flooding but it's been raining mad here since about Thursday and there's flooding everywhere. They actually closed schools today because of it. I didn't know how bad it was since I didn't leave the house this weekend, but on my way to work this morning i saw many neighborhoods and shopping/business complexes that are completely under water. I think we're gonna get a little bit of break from the rain today though.

I read where Houston received more rain in the last two days than LA has in the last six years. Crazy.

That's insane.. I know Houston has obviously gotten a lot, but it must like never rain in LA lol.

Crazy thing is it's still raining there and Harvey is still a tropical storm now going back into the Gulf.

I'm so proud of my daughter.

She just turned 16 and she has a heart of gold. She's always looking to help those in need.

Yesterday, on her own, she decided to go volunteer at a shelter. She organized donated clothing and served dinner and said she is looking forward to going back today.

I'm really proud of her.
