    Good call on #1

It's really annoying when people are very close to the weight doing their exercises.

Off to the gym...here's some Arnold for motivation:

And their free pizza in the afternoon and free bagels in the morning is just priceless. "Hey, come work out, then eat like **** so you can maintain or gain weight so you'll have to keep coming here!"

I was a member there for three weeks and that was it, you can build a better home gym in your basement.
Mine is pretty cool all around. I laughed at the pizza and bagel thing, which ours has once a month. But I know that during the week, I'm not gonna eat crap like that. I might rejoin Anytime Fitness, though, if we get the house we're looking at; it's right by there, and the fact that it's open 24-7 is a real plus.

                      Re: Proper Gym Etiquette

I pretty much agree with most of the stuff in here. I go to voluntary workouts that are held at the weight room at my school in the mornings. The thing that gets me the most is that some people choose to waste their time when they go to workout, when they shouldn't even be there.

Like I said I go to voluntary workouts and there is about 10 people there. Well we have a set workout by our coach that we go by percentages off our maxes. Well we were doing this workout today and there was only one machine. So why one guy was going, six others stood there and waited for their turn. Sorry, I have to leave before these guys because I have to drive home and take a shower before I go to school, it's cool if you don't want to, but I'm going to. They weren't even doing anything, so I went and did some of the other workouts while waiting for this machine and eventually I just gave up because I would get more out of skipping that workout and getting my other ones in while they were just waiting.

Just a story of something that ticked me off at the gym today. People who sit there and waste thier time waiting on a machine, while they could do something else to make them better.

The lifting area is woefully small. But fortunately I work out at night, so it's never packed, and I can pretty much navigate my way around. But in the time right after work, that place is jam packed. I like Anytime Fitness, too, just for the fact that each cardio machine has cable TV.
Same here. All the cardio machines have TVs on them, so I don't have to be annoyed by people.

It is annoying having to wait. Normally when I lift I am in a group of 4-5 for our main workout (squat, bench, powerclean, ect.) then we split up into 2's and 3's for the rest of the workout.

                                .........

He gets a perma-ban for that one. That should be like a Costanza peeing at the gym type moment, automatically report him to the higher ups.

I personally always make sure to sweat on everything possible and then leave it for the next person to enjoy and take in. My musk should be enjoyed by all.
