Am I the only one who finds it absurd the amount of words used so far in this topic about 99c hamburgers?

BTW why all the attacks lately? Jeezzzzz. If you can't see why I said I was healthy then you're missing the messages.

      -Milk isn't a necessity.

      -I am. I don't drink it. I'm healthy, it's not a necessity.
++OMFG nobody cares if you're healthy.
      -???
my comment about not being serious about you considering milk a non-necessity has nothing to do with whether your healthy or not or whether everyone uses it.

The discussion was talking about how groceries were going up and necessity items were going up. And milk, whether you use it or not, is a necessity item. Thats why its part of the governmental WIC program for young mothers with children.

So as I said, I don't drink milk much either or use it, but that doesn't mean its not a necessity item.

Yea I pretty much don't drink any beverage that has calories in it (water 95% of the time).

I'm as healthy as can be as well, it isn't vital for nutritional supplementation.

As long as I can still get a double hamburger for a dollar, I'll go regularly.

2 double hamburgers with only ketchup and a medium fry for $3.91. Can't beat it.

Gotta say if the price of 2 double cheeseburgers increasing is your only problem. Then your doing pretty good.

Totally agree on In-n-Out. Definitely not something you want to eat everyday but if you're going to have a fast food burger and fries there is no better place for quality.

Well, you can do better with fries (IMO McDonald's has the best of the local fast food joints) and milkshakes (Jack In the Box), but its burgers are unbeatable. They don't need to, but if their double-double prices were cut 20%, that would definitely be best burger value (filling and taste are so high up there, cost difference is almost irrelevant in the case of value).

Yep, if he rolled his own coins and took them to the bank, the actual increase would only be 11.1%..assuming he spent it all on these meals.

If $123 was the amount received at the Coinstar after the reduction, then the initial amount was about $135 (123/(1-0.089). With that $12 savings, he could have covered his costs for the next 60 double cheeseburgers.

Gotta disagree on the fries. As far as fast food places go, Burger King fries are unbeatable.

It is very true, and I understand what I did. But let me put it to you this way... it took me six minutes alone to dump the coins in the God-forsaken machine (that's how many coins I had). Imagine how long it would have taken to roll up that many coins. Even if they were all quarters, that would still be over 500 coins to roll up. They weren't all quarters though, of course (maybe only $50 worth).

Like I said, it's not the dollar difference, it's the percent difference. 20% is over 100% more than 8.9%.

It doesn't matter if it is rolled or not. The banks don't care. If you bring it in all loose, they will let there money processing center process it for you. Only problem is you won't get the money deposited in your account right away, you probably have to wait 1-2 days.
