I wish I liked Japanese cuisine. There are some fire restaurants around here, but I don't like uncooked seafood. There are some legit ramen places around here, though. My favorite place is pronounced "Mama Sans". I'm not sure how to spell it, but she's a little old lady and her son that have a small place.

Basic menu (ramen, fried pork and chicken, gyoza, etc. and it's really awesome.

I tried is Tokoyaki (octopus included). I couldn't stomach the texture.. lol.

If you're into the food, it's an awesome place to be.

The Japanese women are what keeps me going

I stopped eating McDonald's and Burger King a loooonnnnggg time ago. I may have Wendy's on occasion, but if I do it is always a grilled chicken sandwich.

Fast food is something I will definitely be keeping my children away from.

Re: And just like that, McDonald's just lost one, if not millions of customers

I'm lucky to have In-N-Out in my life to keep any fast food far, far away from me.

That being said, it's still fast food so it still ain't healthy. Also that being said, the burger and environment is like 1000x better, so paying $8.88 every time will be just fine.

Oh and for the record, we talked about the price of meat rising? I've been paying $8.88 at least since the beginning of last fall at In-N-Out, so I don't know if McD's was lagging behind or jumping ahead when the price of their meat rose over 50% more than their last jump.

I've been having In-N-Out for the better part of nine or ten years haha. Never "moved on" per se, but the closest one to me at the time wasn't so close, and since they've made two closer ones (it was also relatively close at SDSU).

McDonald's breakfast irks me as well because they don't do bacon breakfast burritos. When I was first told that after asking, I was thinking there was a language barrier. I soon realized the burritos are already pre-made/pre-wrapped, which is concerning.

When I was teaching summer school, ever so often I would have to rush and drive thru the McDonald's closest to that school in the morning... do some sausage breakfast burritos and two hash browns. My goodness, the percentage of the time I would get one hash brown only was alarming. Being in a line, I normally don't reach into my bag and count. I'll just trust them, which obviously is a bad idea. I called the manager to complain about that, so they helped me out the next time I was there I guess. Then one time they mistakenly gave me four sausage burritos and four hash browns. I didn't complain lol, but I ate it all... then I complained sitting on the toilet a few hours later.

Even if I had an In-N-Out, Whataburger, whatever.. I'm not spending $8+ on a burger. If I'm spending that much, I'm making the burgers myself and that'll include the mushrooms and cheese I'll be putting on them.

I order a double double with two fries every time I go. Comes to $7.25.

I dont get how you spend $8+ at In-N-Out.

Thats part of the allure for me. Its cheap...but fresh and delicious.

3x3 animal style w/ chopped chillies & whole grilled onion [instead]
Cheese fries (same cost as animal style fries)
                            Cup water

                            $8.88

Ya'll should really try that order if you haven't before.

EDIT: Here's a picture from my flip phone of that same order... only two 3x3's when I was really hungry.

It only says "Double-Double" because they don't have wrappers that say otherwise for bigger burgers, but that's three meat & three cheese baby.

Wish In n Out would go come to the east coast, 5 guys is awesome but so expensive. A burger, fries, and a drink is about $12.

McDonald's is actually struggling big time with sales, they are not the guaranteed money printing restaurants they used to be. I don't often get fast food burgers but if I do I'm going to Wendy's.
