Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
As far as intros to IPAs, um, basically it would be pale ales. IPA = pale ale, only hoppier
If you can't get through a Sierra NEvada pale ale or something along those lines, you may just consider jumping right into the best with the Pliny and see how you like it. If you don't like that beer, you'll probably never like IPAs... or at least you'll require some shift i ntastes that will happen over a long period as you step up the hops and bitterness.
Pliny the Elder isn't bitter really though, it's literally the perfect beer for me... hoppy as hell, aromatic, lightly carbonated, but doesn't hang a bitterness in your throat. ****ing wonderful.
I have something fairly important to celebrate, so I may go out and see if I can find one of those or maybe a Dogfish Head 90 Minute for tonight...Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Had some Tap Room this past weekend. Specifically their amber ale and their lager. The amber ale was ok. It seemed bland. The lager was great. It would be a good beer to have with a steak or a burger.Twitter

Just a heads up fellaz...It's AUGUST, which means it's time for Märzens or Oktoberfest beers...LOVE these.
I can't wait to get my hands on some Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale. Getting that served in a glass with cinnamon around the rim is to die for.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
That first one is awesome haha.
I tried the Adventinus Doppelbock (not a bad price at $3.99 either) and was kinda unimpressed... I dunno, maybe I'm just totally past wheat-based beers now, even interesting dark ones with lots of fruit overtones. I ended up forgetting about it and shamefully poured about 1/4 of it down the drain the next morning...
Enjoyed the Racer 5 IPA from Bear Republic though... tasty hop selection in that one.
I have a Goose Island Pere Jacques in the fridge for this week... I always enjoy a nice Dubbel.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
It's made in St. Paul. They've been around since 1986, so I'm sure they've branched out.
Any reports from around the country? Here's what they offer:
Their EPA is my "go-to" beer at the bar. Every bar has it on tap around here.Comment
