Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Been drinking a ton of Pumpkinhead this year. Being from Maine, pretty much everyone drinks it anyways, but I never really got into it. It's not as flavorful as some of the other fall beers by a long shot, but it is really drinkable. I usually go through a 6 pack or two a week, then grab a pint of something a little more "high brow" on the weekend.

Not yet unfortunately. Been by the local shop a few times and haven't found it yet. Gonna have to try again tomorrow. Thankfully i've got enough Pumpkinhead to get me through if necessary, but i'd really like to find the Pumking.Comment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
I searched the thread, and couldn't find any mention of this, but Golden Road out of Glendale, CA has one of the best IPA's that I've ever tried. It's called Point the Way.

Being that it's from Glendale, I'm surprised that IPA doesn't have garlic or hair in there.Comment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Hoping you guys can help me out here. I'm trying to get into beer, but everything I've had thus far has really turned me away from it. Haven't really had much selection really. Shiner is the only tolerable one I can really drink more than one of. Heineken gets a big hell no never again. The mainstream light beers just don't do it for me, can't stand them really.
I understand that there are many different types of beer, so maybe I just haven't found the right one for me yet. I mainly want to find a readily available beer that I can go to pretty much any bar and get that I enjoy.
To cut to the chase, a friend of mine told me you can go to a liquor store and they usually have a make your own 6 pack kind of thing. I'd like some suggestions on what different kinds I should try out to figure out what I like.Fan of....

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Drinking this for breakfast *I mean dinner* (Bacon, Eggs (from our chickens) w/ Zucchini (from Garden) Potatoes (again from Garden) and Cheddar plus Pancakes w/ Maple Syrup) for dinner, was at my local organic market grocery and the beer man just handed me this and said you must do it, its one of the most delicious beers he's had in a while. Its made with Bacon and Maple Syrup per the ingredients on the back, can't wait to try it.
Edit: Review: Good beer, bit bitter for me, does compliment bacon very well, kindof this saltiness from the bacon and then the bitterness of the beer that goes well. I'm still downing the whole bottle after dinner is over so it must not be that bad.
Edit#2: Added photo of what dinner *I mean breakfast, dinner* ahhhhhhhh *pic not taken from today though, even though it did look exactly like this
***Right clicking and clicking view image will get you the full pic***

Also a 22 oz. Southern Tier Créme Brûlée Imperial Stout, which seems to get mixed reviews, but I was up for something different: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3818/43687
Finally, as is customary whenever I make a stop at my favorite store, a 4-pack of Surly Furious.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 10-12-2012, 12:56 PM.Comment
