Well, I was saying it as in I figure it's sold out everywhere by now.

There's no real chance that it's actually available somewhere, IS there?

I really don't want to go on a hunt right now, and I can't anyway since we're having a family dinner tonight.

I know it's rare, but there had to be others popping up in North America from time to time. Perhaps this is the first time they're "officially" exporting it, as my beer store only said they had "legally procured" the Westy's from Belgium.

Was it very, very, very good and worth trying at least once? Yes.
Was it significantly better than Rochefort 10 (which is much easier to find and less than half the price)? No.

While in Portland last week, I bought a bottle of Pliny the Elder, which is also on the "best beers" shortlist. Also picked up a Lucky Basartd; I'm a big fan of Stone's Arrogant Bastard.

It's very annoying that California breweries like Stone and Russian River aren't available in Western Canada.

I think I'll be picking up some Lagunitas Brown Sugga for Xmas. So good, and the 9.9% ABV is a great bonus.

                      St. Bernardus is delicious.

Don't know what I'm having for Christmas just yet. Gotta talk to my bro about it and see what we should get. I think I had the Rochefort 10 for NYE last year. Might have been the other one though. Isn't there an "8" too?

DJ, to my knowledge this was the first time it was available. I don't know. I'm only a relatively new craft beer guy.

Is that the Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale?

Sucks was the '11 replacement for Shugga but Shugga is back for 2012.

Sucks was really good last year though and there are rumblings that it's going to become a normal brew. That'd be awesome, both Sucks and Shugga this winter.
