    Another Great Tasting Beer Thread

I drank a tumbler today. Very good beer and I'm not normally big on anything from Sierra.

Also had a magic hat and a pumpkick

Speaking of DuClaw, I recently tried their chocolate peanut butter porter, Sweet Baby Jesus, yes that's really the name, and I gotta say I enjoyed it thoroughly.

And I saw Matrix mention the Brooklyn Summer Ale; it's the only one I've had by them, never heard of it before til I was in a restaurant in NYC, but I definitely liked it. Wish it was around my way, but I really can't complain because Maryland has awesome beer and my liquor store is stocked with all the best.

Man I love stouts and porters but I can't stand Sweet Baby Jesus. Seems like another one of those beers that's trying too hard.

Ever go to the Wine Source? Don't know where you are in the city but it's definitely my favorite spot for new beers/wines and hard to find liquor.

I'm actually about 20 minutes south of the city, but depending where it is I may have passed it before. I've got a few good nearby options that always seem to have a great variety. I recognize almost every beer mentioned in here from the liquor store I go to. Of course that may just be an indication that I'm in there too much lol.

Had a Sly Fox Oktoberfest last night. Some Oktoberfests are hit and miss with me, but I enjoyed this one.

It's in Hamden, and would be pretty hard to pass by it, honestly. It's a great spot but not worth a road trip... especially if you've got some good options near you.

I went to a "Taste of Tennessee" craft beer festival this weekend- only breweries from the state.

I have been wanting for a long time to try a sour beer- and finally got my wish. I had a Berliner Weiss, no flavoring syrup added. For me, I loved it, but my buddy hated it....I imagine most will fall into one of these camps.

Damn, that looks good. I prefer canned beers anymore over bottled brews...seems fresher & just tastes better imo.

Found an Oktoberfest from C-bus Ohio believe it or not :O It's Elevator Oktoberfest 1810...LOVE this Marzen man...surprised the hell out of me.

                  T. Nice toasted malt sweetness, caramel, slightly burnt sugar & a very small hint of bitterness from the hops, back to the toasted malt and a little bit of a roasted character comes through as well.

Very creamy W/ nice lacing & a nice white head that holds up to the end. overall, I'd rate this beer a solid B or a little higher.

Got my hands on the Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale finally. I was tempted to buy the place out of it, but decided on only getting 12 of them for now (they come in 4-packs). It literally tastes like you're eating a pumpkin pie, only without being overtly sweet or heavy. This is in my personal top-3 for beers.

The Oktoberfests just don't do much for me, so this and Tumbler are definitely my preferred fall beers.

don't know if this one has been brought up in here, but I tried it tonight and it was great.

I was at a bar at a Mexican restaurant, and usually at those kind of places, I get a Dos Equis or Pacifico. Never a Corona..hate it.

But, lately, my buddy and I have gotten into just trying something new at the bar, depending on what kind of bar we're at. (bar at Mexican restaurant, Irish Pub, whatever), and the bartender suggested this to us and it was a great suggestion. One of the smoothest beers I've ever had.

I've never had a Mexican beer I liked. Hopefully I can log this into the back of my brain for future reference.

Only found a Victoria once. Easily my favorite Mexican beer.
