Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Had a Rare Vos Amber Ale and a Weyerbacher Merry Monks last night. Both very good beers. Anyone who likes Victory Golden Monkey should give Merry Monks a try. Also just as strong ABV wise as it is also over 9%.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Ok, I had these over the weekend & I have to say The Full Tilt Patterson Imperial Pumpkin Ale was OFF THE CHARTS....THE BEST pumpkin ale I've ever had...bar none. Southern Tier's Pumking was my #1, until I had these...2 mugs upto Full Tilt's Patterson Imperial Pumpkin Ale
Pours a hazy amber with orange hue (due to the LOADS of pumpkin) with a thick creamy white head. The pumpkin pie spice aroma is off the charts on this beer while remaining pleasant. This is incredibly smooth for 9.0% ABV.
LOADED w/ Pumpkin!!!!
The 48 IBUs mask the sweetness from the heavy malt bill and brown sugar. A FANTASTIC beer that goes down as the best pumpkin beer that I have ever had.
This beeris only beer that could unseed Full Tilt, which i have not had & probably never will due to availability

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Anyone ever had a beer float? Sierra Nevada is recommending one for International Stout Day tomorrow. It won't let me link the pic but it looks delicious.
NARWHAL® IMPERIAL STOUT ICE CREAM FLOAT
2 minutes
Serves 1-2 people
For those after a more adventurous dessert, we’ve combined two of our favorite things: Narwhal Imperial Stout and ice cream. Notes of espresso and cocoa collide with vanilla for a whale of a float
INGREDIENTS
Narwhal Imperial Stout
1 bottle Narwhal Imperial Stout
* Vanilla ice cream (pick your favorite)
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
STEP
01
Place a generous scoop of ice cream in a tall glass.
STEP
02
Slowly pour Narwhal Imperial Stout over the ice cream. (We recommend 2 parts ice cream to 1 part Narwhal)
PRO TIP:
For a lighter, fruitier flavor we recommend substituting Kellerweis® for Narwhal, or for the holidays try Ovila® Abbey Quad with Plums in place of Narwhal.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Went and bought a four pack of Lakewood Temptress (9.1%). Will attempt my float for the Michigan/Nebraska game. May need it with Michigan's line play.Comment
