So it's not really a dating site question but this Sunday I'm supposed to have a "blind" date with my friends girlfriends friend. I say "blind" because I seen her already but unsure if her friend showed her a picture of me.

I'm not going alone, it's a guess a double date since my friend and his girl are going as well (Which makes things less awkward) however I am nervous. She is actually pretty cute and she is a nerd like me. Lol.

I just have no idea what to do when we meet or where we are going (I think it may be bowling). Any suggestions? I'm not very experienced in the dating scene.

Just relax, which is easier said than done, and just think about it as going out with a group of friends......only that you would like to sleep with one of them. Also, I would always have one drink before meeting to calm my nerves a little.

Just talk to her about the nerd stuff she's into. If both of you have a match talk about that for a bit. Take interest to get to know her. Don't talk to much about yourself unless she's asking the questions. And of course get that number.

I kinda hate when my wife talks about me to her co-workers or whomever, so when we meet its like I'm just waiting for them to bring up our common interests. I like for it to be natural.

So I'd talk about something that interests you that's been in current news/events. Don't just jump in to "SO YOU LIKE VIDEO GAMES ME TOO". Talk about E3 or something like that.

So...

-Meet a girl for drinks, seems like it goes great, lots of laughs, spent about 3 hours together good rapport the whole time.

-Text her when I got home nice meeting you, had a great time, etc. and then we exchange flirty texts for a little while longer, talk about meeting again, she just says tell her when and where

-Next day we make plans for one week from then

-Text her a few days later just to stay in touch and talk about our weekends

-The day before our plans is her birthday so I text her happy birthday, and a little later she tells me she has to work late the next day and can't make it. I tell her that's cool, just let me know when you're free to reschedule. Doesn't get back to me for over a day and says she's not sure yet, and lets talk next week and figure it out.

-I text her today about rescheduling and she says she's just too busy, it's not a good time to be dating, she took down her profile, doesn't want to lead me on

Anywhere I went wrong here? BS or not? Since we started talking she has talked about how work is really busy, and she's also in the process of moving, so I get being busy, it just seemed to take a real sudden turn from her being really easy to schedule with and always wanting to talk to her having no free nights ever

I met this lady on Eharmony and this happened with us. She lives about an hour away so no biggie on travel, beautiful women had 2 kids, worked and was doing school online. We met up a few times and enjoyed it, talk was good and we talked on the phone all the time.

We dated for about 2 months maybe and I got hit with the I'm just to busy and can't be in a relationship. It was brought up early cause she was feeling bad about being so busy, I told her I was fine and not to worry about it, last thing I wanted to do was get in the way of her trying to make life better for her and her family.

Living about an hour away also made it easy to deal with her being busy cause it wasn't like we were spending time actually together in person. She started having problems with her online courses and it really got to her. She said she had to put everything into her kids and school and wasn't able to be in a relationship.

We ended it and texted for a bit , she wanted me to call her a few weeks later and we talked but after that we just stopped communicating.

I'm trying to figure out the next step here guys...

I met this girl a couple of weeks ago now on OK Cupid. She's 29 (30 now), I'm 25, but I try to immediately kill the age factor. AND, she writes in her profile about playing Fallout. So from that I connect on her being a gamer. We rapped for awhile before I convinced her to meet up for some ice cream. We met up and hit it off pretty nicely, so a few days later we went and caught a movie. After the movie we hit it off a bit more, got a bit closer.

Then I went to her place last Thursday for some wine and a movie. Of course, wine leads to certain things happening. But ever since that night its almost like she's treating me like I'm the chick and she's the dude and that was just a one night stand. Before I would send her messages and get instant reply, now its fallen off to the point where I waited all day for one reply before sending another one asking if things were okay and she finally replied that she'd had a busy day.

Am I reading too much into this, or should I really be concerned?

Wow. perfect timing for this to be bumped. I'm still trying the old "I'm so mad at you" thing (with mixed results), but I just got a response different from the rest.

Very unique way of getting a girl to message back, but you should really look into nicer ways of doing so.

So I gave her the followup about the best smile and just said it was a joke, never got a response after that.
