Anyone try online dating sites?
What do I have to do to get a response on Match? I have not received a single response since May and I send on average 20 messages a month so that's over 100 messages with no response. All my messages mention something in their profile and ask a question for them to respond. Suggestions? PM me or something, this is getting ridiculous.
I found that commenting on something in their profile is not really intriguing to them.
If you are going to say something to them about their profile, do it in a funny way. Humor pretty much trumps all when it comes to that first message.
If you cant come up with a way to incorporate something funny about their interests, then just have a witty opener. Then you can ask about their interests later.
If you cant come up with anything funny at all, hit em with something that draws their interest and is different from other messages you think they would receive on a consistent basis from the other guys.
One of my favorite things to say as an opener was saying "You suck" or "I hate you so much right now".
They almost are guaranteed to ask why...then you can comment on something you like about her profile. Or even better...something you DONT like about their profile. As if they would be perfect if it wasnt for this one thing they mentioned in their profile.
Another thing I found worked well is creating a scenario with them. Something they can picture.
Latina women are what do it for me. So I typically messaged them talking about how beautiful our mixed kids would be. And how i would try my best to fix their nappy hair on my own in the mornings so she wouldnt have to before they went to school.
Sounds dumb. I know. But what guys find humorous is different than what women find humorous. And they typically found it to be pretty funny and would respond.
Not only that, but it worked because it makes it seem like it wasnt something I was saying to everyone because it was specific (their ethnicity) to them.
So get creative and witty with those messages. If you dont crack a smile with your message, she certainly wont and you will be skipped right over.Comment

Re: Anyone try online dating sites?
I never understood the whole "wait a few days to text back" thing. That just gives them time to forget about you. I have had a lot of success on dating sites and I always message/text back as soon as I can. Keep the conversation flowing and make sure you have the number 1 spot. Girls are attached to their phones these days. If they are not texting you they are texting someone else.....Comment

TMagic...
You have your shirt off and have a six pack and look like you posted a photo from a modeling shoot.
You shouldn't be giving advice.
You could probably say "Hey let's have sex tonight!" and get some takers. Normal people would get banned from site. Just my .02SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: Anyone try online dating sites?
Those that use Tinder, should try Hinge.
It's a less-slutty looking version of Tinder with the same concept.
The people you swipe "Yes" or "No" to are people you are somehow connected with on Facebook, which eliminates those fake profiles that pop up on Tinder. The person has to be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd degree Facebook connection.
It's catching on, for every 40-50 girls I can swipe on Tinder, there's about 15-20 on Hinge, increasing from when it was about 5-8 when it first started in the summer. It's coming to more cities in 2015.
My roommate has had a lot more success in terms of quality and quantity on Hinge, and doesn't even use Tinder anymore.
He has a date tonight with a pretty sexy fitness chick he met from Hinge.
Tinder is obviously usually for hook ups - I hear a different hook up story from my teammates or they show a sext pic or video from a Tinder girl almost every week, so Hinge can be a nice alternative if you're not looking for or over quick hookups.Rice Owls - Houston Astros/Dynamo/Rockets/Texans - Arsenal - PSGComment

Re: Anyone try online dating sites?
For first messages, yea, I try and always say something funny. If I can think of something funny that has to do with their profile, I'll do that, if not, I have a few lines that I use as fallbacks. Honestly though its a numbers game, and I think it's mostly your pics that determine if they will respond or not.
