Add me to the list of the frustrated.

Finally got a response (from the most attractive of the ones I messaged, go figure) and we spent a couple of days messaging back and forth. Haven't heard from her in a couple of days now, even though she's been online. Haven't given up yet, but I'm not feeling as good as I was a few days ago.

And what is it with women not replying in general? If a guy makes a legitimate attempt, is it so hard to write back with "Thanks for writing but I don't think we're a good match, good luck"? Had one girl in her profile say she's "an open book, ask me anything." So I ask about the six things she can't live without. Nada. Nothing. No response. So much for being an open book. Thanks for giving me the impression I'm not worth your time.

And yes I know they get way more messages than we do, but if they can comment on 9,000 things on Facebook, they've got time to reply to the legitimate guys on the site. /rant.

It's "My life's an open book ask me anything" if you have wash board abs rock star good looks at least a six figure income with a nice home and nice car, then my life is an open book and you can ask me anything. if you don't meet at least one of those requirements don't bother. That's what they mean to say. And women call us picky.

They don't care about the income...

Just good looks. It's a superficial site.

Avoiding confrontation. I'm sure some of these girls have sent those replies in the past, but then the guy messages her back and calls her a bitch or whatnot. If she doesn't message you back just take it as a rejection. I don't bother replying to girls who message me that I'm not attracted to either.

As for the girl you were messaging she probably met someone else that asked her out. Don't waste days messaging girls on the site, try and pull them off as quick as possible. The best success I've had on the site is when I get a girls number within a day of first messaging her. Usually just 4 or 5 messages back and forth. Always assume there's some guy that's better looking, funnier, more interesting than you. If you waste time messaging her on the site there's a chance that guy may come along.

Also tip for you guys: Use Quickmatch and rate people 4/5 stars. When you rate them from Quickmatch it sends an email to them saying you rated them highly. Rated a few yesterday and got 2 to rate me 4/5 stars back and one even messaged me first. She's cute and currently talking to her about Archer.

The complication for me with the girl I've been messaging is she lives five hours away.

Fortunately, she lives in a city I enjoy visiting. I messaged her earlier today asking if she'd meet up with me if I made the trip over. Maybe she'll reply.

                    That sucks man.

The long-distance girl checked out my profile, but still no reply after I offered to drive over some weekend to meet her. Guessing I won't hear from her again. We'll see.

Had a less-than-desirable girl message me tonight. About to message her back just to prove that I'm not a hypocrite.

It sounds like a term I'd use to describe a woman who has obviously been pregnant multiple times.

I had a look on pof tonight and there was many many more good looking girls from Mobile on there than there is on okcupid so I might make me a profile there and see what happens.

Could go with what Macar said. I immediately think of someone that has doped a lot, has bruises all over, just a completely wreck.

Though, I must imagine it is the least used body description on the site, and you might have to be someone really special in your head to search for a mate on that site if you describe yourself as used up.

Then again, any man looking for that probably has a high success rate of landing a chick.
