Any dude that's looked at my profile, I've gone back and five-starred .. hoping they're all OSers.

Going back through here now trying to get anyone I missed.

Meanwhile ... my fake girl has already received about three times as many visits, ratings and messages as me. Reading some of the messages the guys have sent "me" ... on the one hand I feel pretty good that when I message I'm not a d-bag. I've actually read the profile and tried to ask something based on it. On the other hand, why am I not getting more replies?

I'm going to delete the fake girl tomorrow.

The replies slow down. I had 30 the first day, but yesterday it was down to 4 or 5. Of course I hadn't updated anything, so duck face girl hasn't shown up in the activity feed.

Came across a post on Reddit detailing how to manipulate the URL on OkCupid search results to unlock an awesome A-List (paid) member feature.

The awesome feature is the ability to search for hotter girls by “Attractiveness”, which is based on the average user rating for a profile on a 1-5 star scale.

Essentially, the OkCupid search for hotter girls means few (if any) unattractive girls will show up on your search results; and this can also be customized by Age, Distance, Last Online, etc.

I'm noticing an uptick on replies/willingness to go on a date since the holidays have passed. Had a date last night, thought it went pretty well but neither of us felt any chemistry. It usually takes me at least 2 to feel anything, but she doesn't seem receptive to a 2nd date.

Oh well, have another girl tentatively set up for Sunday and another one possibly early next week. Not too into either of them though.

Never know what happens. I went on a date over a month ago with a girl I was convinced I wouldn't be into at all. Figured I'd just go for the hell of it (that's why you date, was my thought).

And now, I hang with her far too often. She's the reason I closed my account. I dont know what will happen in the future, but I'm enjoying my time with her now.

Or, both of those girls will suck and you can continue the search!

So how often do you guys get women messaging you? I've had a few women visit my profile and not message me, then I go on to have a good conversation with them after messaging them. Is it the whole "guys should initiate the conversation" thing or something?

Basically. Usually when someone messages me I just assume its TMagic or fat chick. Usually, if they check out your profile without you doing before hand, it means they find something interesting about you.

I would say if they view you twice. I message less than a quarter of the women's pages that I visit, because I usually find something in their profile that I don't like (vegan, taller than me, prude, really religious, etc.) I assume girls are the same way. If they're attractive though I would send them a message if they view your profile.

As for unsolicited messages almost all of mine have been fat chicks. I've received 2 that weren't. One was actually a secret fat chick (gained 20 lbs since photos) and the worst date of my life. The other who messaged me first turned out to be my GF for a few months. So it occasionally works out.

What made it the worst date of your life? Or was it just because of the disappointment of her being fat?
