Blackjack is hella fun in Vegas! I stayed at the MGM when I last went and nothing beat waking up in the morning and gambling in your PJ's lol! I won a lot in the morning when it was just me against the dealer at a table. When my table got crowded, I started losing lol

Re: Casinos & Gambling
I used to deal cards in a casino when I was younger and played a lot as well.
Best odds? Blackjack. Not Spanish 21. Straight up Blackjack. Sit at third base and play smart. Don't be the guy who hits on 16 with the dealer showing a 4, 5 or 6.
Split and double down on the smart hands.
I worked in a casino for nearly two years. The last time I played was about eight years ago. I walked in drunk, with $200, and got two black chips ($100 a piece) and played for about 15 minutes. I cashed out over $2,100 in chips and haven't been back since.
Straight up Blackjack provides the best odds. I think it's about 52-48 in the House's favor, but it's as close as you'll get. Just play smart.
I'd start out playing $2 or $3 hands and then cap my bets with $1 with each hand that I won. I usually did well.
I know this thread is old, but perhaps it can be of service to someone else.
Games where you play the bonus (Spanish 21, Pai Gow poker, etc...) are the games where you lose money fast. Then again, I once dealt the four straight red Ace's to a guy on progressive Blackjack and he missed out on $70,000+ because he didn't put his $1 bonus bet out there.
Really guys, it's all a crap shoot.Comment

I used to produce financial statements for a casino.
People. Do not put your hard earned money into a slot machine. That is all.Comment

Re: Casinos & Gambling
I mostly stick to poker. I have no problem pulling an 8 hour NLHE session, but would never even try to attempt it with another game.
I play Let It Ride on occasion, but that has some of the worst odds of any game. The only appealing thing is that when you win, you have a chance to win pretty big.Comment

Re: Casinos & Gambling
A hot shooter or two at a table full of people who have had a couple is the greatest thing that happens in a casino. Happened after a Packers/Bears game in Green Bay a few years back. I won about $500 in a half hour. Packers and Bears fans were high-fiving each other and giving each other ****. Fun time.Comment
