I actually thought it was going to be different. Not that it makes it better but I thought I was going to see a cop place his hands on the guy and slam his head into a wall.
Wasn't expecting to see a cop hit stick dude.

Do you have a newspaper account of this? Any idea on the location?-August 17, 1960Originally posted by VP Richard M. NixonI always remember that whatever I have done in the past, or may do in the future, Duke University is responsible one way or the other.

It's become an obsession. Certain groups of people hate the police and I'm good with that. They will take anything they can and use it to degrade law enforcement as a whole.
I'd like to say this stuff doesn't bother me but it does...and that's why I keep responding in these threads. I'm proud of what I do, and I'm proud of what my fellow brothers and sisters in law enforcement do. It's a tough, dirty, scary, thankless job and I hate to see their good actions and deeds tainted by a small portion of the close to 1,000,000 uniformed officers nationwide.
Two weeks ago an arrest was made of a 31 year old pimp who raped a 15 year old three times and tried to turn her out...it didn't even make the local news. The only way it would have made the news was if those detectives decided to give him the business and somebody nearby had a camera.
To me that is very sad.- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment

He's trying to say that when the police do something good (which is way more times than not) it rarely gets any attention unless one of the officers screws up.
And he's right.I post the frog
It makes me happy
People get upset
It makes me sad

Damn thats a little excessive. I wish we had audio to see if the cop had ordered him down on the ground before just going up and nailing him like that. Cops are human too though and are bound to make mistakes, this cop should definently be punished for this especially since the guy was innocent.
Oh well for every "bad" cop there are a hundred good ones out there who everyone likes to hate on til there in need and desperately need the cops there and then they are the good guys.

That also applies to...pretty much every non-sports player job.
Given the nature and power that police wield, an abuse of power would be "bigger" news than an abuse of power in your average job.
Unless your name is Kobe, Lebron, or Carmello, nobody really gives a **** that you did well at your job.Last edited by Cebby; 05-23-2009, 08:58 AM.Comment

Gotta agree with this. When your doing what you get paid to do your not usually gonna get a whole lot of praise or attention. Its when you screw up that all eyes will be on you. Thats pretty much all occupations.Comment
