Re: Schools out!!
whoa whoa whoa pump the breaks..back it up..beep beep beep.
this was suppose to be a positive topic about everyones plans for the summer n what they wanna do and stuff. i aint mean to start a big debate i was schocked when i woke up (yea its 1 30) and seen it this long lol.
i admit my 2.0 is low cause i am a goof in class im like the class clown. i didnt pay attention hardly did any school work and never studied cause i was use to it in middle school. in middle school i had A's and b's but high school was toughher. and i got in trouble a lot so i spent a lot of time in in school sucspision so i wasnt in class. and it wasnt til my parents were told i wouldnt move to 10th grade if i didnt have enough credits that i got grounded and that made me buclke down. and my parents gave me a reward because i did good and i studied alot and was able to pass all my classes the 4th quarter and didnt have 1 complaint or anything.I'm not cocky im confident so if u tell me im hot it a compliment
cant stop wont stop

Re: Schools out!!
When I passed 9th grade, my parents got me a hooker. But I had to get a 2.5. It had something to do with "symbolism" and "manhood". I don't remember any more. I will tell you that she was impressed with my 2.55.Comment

I only ask because I am a Trade School graduate and am not doing bad myself for someone that didn't go to College.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Schools out!!
Basically, the long and short of our discussion was this:
-I brought up statistics on national averages comparing people who completed college with those who did not. On average, the college graduates make more money. It's not always the case, but it is the norm. So, if you don't go to college, you can still be successful, but your options/potential earnings will probably be more limited.
-Scottdau was trying to compare the average college graduate to the top-earning trade school graduate. It was a clearly slanted comparison.
It's not that "trade school graduates can't make more than college graduates," as you said in your post. It's just not the most likely scenario according to national averages.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Re: Schools out!!
On average, they don't.
Some guy in Somalia is sitting on a few million dollars. The rest are starving. Now, everyone in Somalia is not starving, but not living in Somalia is generally a better decision than living in Somalia.
On average, college educated people make more money than non-college educated people. That's a fact. I don't even know why someone would disagree with this.Comment

Nobody is saying they can't make more.

Someone asked earlier what I did before I got laid off, I worked for Thyssen Krupp Elevators. It is a shame I got laid off because I really enjoyed it and I was making good money. As soon as the Economy gets better Trade Jobs should really start having alot of opening too. People who were getting close to Retirement pretty much have not retired as expected. Personally I am going to try and get into the Steam Fitters union...My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Schools out!!
I wasn't even disagreeing with it. But from how I interpreted the post, it sounded like it was impossible to do it or that you HAD to go to College to make good money. That's how I interpreted it and that's why I asked.
I'm only 22 but im already making the amount of money(legally) that it would take a College graduate a couple of years to make and I didn't even go to College and I know a few other people that are doing the same.#RespectTheCultureComment
