Wow dude, $200 for a 2.0? Getting a 2.0 takes absolutely nothing - and the fact that your parents have 200 bucks to spare shows that they have money. Don't you think that you should be studying hard because you're a priveleged kid that owes it to your parents to be at least somewhat successful? Aren't you afraid of ending up being a complete failure? Or are you planning for your parents to pay your way through everything?

Dude, you gotta get a taste of the real world. I'm finishing up my junior year in high school, and nobody pays me to do anything except at my job. The only thing that motivates me is that I know that I come from an immigrant background, that my parents and grandparents came from nothing to be successful and give me a lot, and that I owe it to them to not be a spoiled brat.

You oughtta move to Miami and come to my school, kid. I think you'd learn a little bit about how the world really works...

I am sorry but I laughed out so loud reading this. Not because of what you said, but the fact you are a Jr and you are talking about the a taste of the real world and how the real world works. Actually what you said was right on, but it was still funny. I still say a 2.0 is good why? Because you can gradrate with a 2.0. If it is good for graduation and States it is good enough me.

I was going to go into the trade field and that was what they were starting out with. But I am not going to find internet proof, becasue believe it or not the internet lie too..

No, but when you try to say that people that go to college make more then the trade world, then I call B.S. But it all good! You guys keep thinking that.

Most electricians make more then your college degree jobs. That is all I am saying. But I will agree that you have a better chance of making more money by having a college degree. But that is becasue the low paying jobs get thrown in those stats. If you were to throw the trade jobs I am sure that total would be higher.

I'm not claiming to be wise or anything, but this kid is clearly clueless. I like to think that I at least have a basic understanding of how the real world works - and I'm pretty sure nobody pays you $200 to barely scrape by once you're an adult.

I've seen a bunch of messed-up things at my high school (80% Hispanic, 15% Black, inner-city Miami school). I doubt GOL will ever understand the things that go on at a place like this, outside of what he hears in radio rap songs. But at least he has "SWAG," right?

Who cares about graduating if you can't get into a good college. Just graduating is less than half the battle.

If you want to get into a trade or a trade union you have to have a HS diploma or GED.

Let's just put it this way. When you hit 40 or even 35 and you see a Jr talking about how the real world works. If I am still alive look me up and tell me how you felt. It was very on be the way. It was just funny coming from you. But that is no knock on you. So if you don't understand that you will when you are older.

But most people want to do more than that.

If they do then they need to do better in school, but some aren't there, so you have the trade worlds. Believe it or not college is not for everyone.

I know it's not for everyone but you have to try it to find out so getting a good gpa so you can actually get in would help.

I know it's not for everyone but you have to try it to find out so getting a good gpa so you can actually get in would help.

If you get a 2.5-3.0 then college is probably for you. If you get around a 2.2 or 2.0 then a trade would be your best bet. If you get a 1.0-1.9, then MacDonald or Burger King might be your best bet!

Well obviously, but I'd say very few people are doing half-*ssed jobs and have their food, shelter, expenses, and luxuries completely paid for - in addition to $200 spending money that they get for not screwing up. That's what "God of Life" has though, and he ought to learn that his whole life isn't going to be like that, or he's going to have to learn it the hard way.
