friday was my last day of school welcome summer!! sleepin in everyday, goin to the beach, chillen, staying up late playing video games!! i love this time of year. whats your favorite part of summer and why? mine is just havin no worries each day and knowing that i dont have nothing to do!!

How is that contradict. I am saying a 2.0 is good and easy to get.

To me, if something is good, it should require effort. Getting a 2.0 in an average high school can be accomplished without doing much more than simply showing up for class.

Why do you think the schools have probation with anything less than a 2.0. It is passing.

Exactly right. It is passing, and the bare minimum. How is it a "good" thing that he barely snuck in over the minimum? Gotta love the continued dumbing down of society...

You guys crack me up what was your GPA in HS? Mine was 3.2, but that really doesn't matter.

Much higher than 2.0, that's all I feel the need to say. Now, I do realize that I was fortunate in that I didn't have to try as hard as most people to get good grades (not trying to brag), but even so, there's really no excuse for anyone to not get a 2.0, and there's really no way a 2.0 can be considered a good GPA.

The only thing I wanted to do was play sports and with a 2.0 you can do that. So if it is good enough to play sports and go to the dances then I say it is good enough for the guys on OS.

That's just wonderful. Good grief.

Again, aren't you a teacher? With that attitude, I certainly wouldn't want my kid anywhere near your class if I were a parent.

I almost did but i cracked dwn in the 4th quarter and was able to pull my gpa above 2.0 anythang less then 2.0 in my distict u go to summer school and i had a 2.0 so i got out of it because my parents grounded me and made me study a lot so i did well on my exams at the end. im happy i passed 9th grade and i dont have any summer school and my parents gave me 200 dollars for passing.

but when you have a job and u get paid for it arent u doing sumthen your supposed to do? thats how it is here really im too young for a job so my parents gave me 200 to have.

That's a bad analogy. A job is someone hiring you to pay you to do something in a job discription. No one is hiring you to get good grades. That's just something that should happen for your own personal gain. Colleges sure aren't taking anyone with a 2.0 gpa if you want to go anywhere good.

That's a bad analogy. A job is someone hiring you to pay you to do something in a job discription. No one is hiring you to get good grades. That's just something that should happen for your own personal gain. Colleges sure aren't taking anyone with a 2.0 gpa if you want to go anywhere good.

There's no way that you're going to recover from your 2.0 GPA and have a 4.0 by next year's end, providing you don't take exclusively AP classes and get As in each an every one of them.

I think he just means his GPA next year will be a 4.0, not his cumulative GPA.

I currently have a 2.8something something. I have 2 A's, 1 F(Math ), and the rest are B's that are close to A's. Finals are a week away, I just need to get one of those B's up to get an A so I can get my 3.0 for this semester. Hope for the best
