Just got back from 6 flags

Massachusetts and I must say it was fun. The last time i went which was 2 weeks ago i missed out on doing the new Bizzaro ride because the line was too long.

Personally i'm not a coaster fan, but i'm trying to get into them now. The last time my friends and i went was 2 weeks ago today and i was able to get on the ThunderBolt, Batman and Flashback. That in itself was an accomplishment.

So this time we had a much bigger group of people and decided from the get go to do the Bizzaro before the lines became too long. We got in line which was probably a 15 min wait and i was terrified. I enjoyed the Batman, but this ride is bigger and fast, the first drop looks insane. I got in the third cart and closed my eyes until we got to the top. The biggest thing is seeing the entire park and knowing your so high up above.

As soon as it started to descend from the first drop i opened my eyes and found myself thrilled. The remainder of the ride, i screamed, got my hands in the air and had a great time. We then did every coaster there but the Mind-eraser because that has too many twist and turns, doing the Flashback gave me a minor headache, so the Mind eraser was out the question. So that's the Cyclone, Bizzaro, Batman, Flashback and the Pendulum.

For the finally, we decided to the the Bizzaro again. But it started to rain and i was tired. So this time i laid back and put my head down, but as soon as we got to the top, the thrill and rush just hit my face as we went down. It wasn't nearly as bad as the first run, but i wasn't waving my hands or screaming, just too tired to do so.

All in all, good day. We'll probably hit 6 Flags New Jersey next month. The smallest coaster there is the size of the Bizzaro. The rides there are huge!!! But the Bizzaro was a good starter right

Six Flags is a blast if you can go on a day where lines aren't 30 minutes long.

Went for the first time in 4 years(6 Flags Over Texas) on senior skip day last year and we rode The Titan 8 times in a row. Was awesome, only 30+ minute wait we had was a ride where only 1 train was running. Firs time I rode Titan I got tunnel vision, but by the 8th time I was able to have a conversation with the person next to me the entire time. We all felt high/drunk the entire ride home. Laid down in bed that night and fell like I was still riding it.

I love six flags. I went to one in san antinio on vacaton, it was so under populated you could get off a ride, go back through the entrance line and get on the next one, all without stopping.

I like roller coasters, but not the old ones. I like the ones with shoulder harnesses. I like to feel safely strapped in, the ones with just the lap bar, I hold on tightly the whole ride. I like the ones where your feet hang free the best.

I thought I read somewhere that 6 flags was in trouble and needed help or they were in trouble of going under.

Yep, love Six Flags. Not a coaster guy, but always love the thrill.

Same here, feel much safer that way.

And yeah, I heard of six flags being in trouble too. We were thinking about getting season tickets so we can have a blast this summer drivin to Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo since it might close soon(I heard).

I am the complete opposite. I rode one of the feet dangle ones and the g force of the ride made the harness extra tight where I could get breaths, but couldn't take that deep breath. Very unpleasant experience waiting for them to take us back into the loading bay to let me out.

I have heard that too. Main reason why SF Over Texas started selling beer. At $6 a pop they are making some serious extra bank.

Scared to death to ride roller coasters, so i don't do it. I haven't been there in a good 10 years.

Cedar Point is the ish when it comes to coasters, nothing else is close.

I'm going to Disney World at the end of July, and they have a few decent coasters but it's more about the whole experience and not the pure thrill alone.

Six Flags Magic Mountain is just insane. I can't wait to check out Cedar Point someday!

Yeah, I've got a season pass and get to Six Flags Great America several times a year. I love coasters.

I really need to get to Cedar Point as well someday.

This Cedar Point is the ish....i used to love Roller Coaster when i was younger until i was like 10....I went to Kings Dominion in Virginia for Family Reunion and i loved the Scoober-Doo roller coaster and my grandmother tricked me and talked me into riding the Rebelley-Yell by saying it was Scoober-Doo brother, well i ran off the ride after it was over and cried the rest of the day i was scared, didnt touch roller coasters til i was 16 when i went with my neighbors who were family friends, the dad was like 34 and his hot daughters were 16 and 15, and he made fun of md the whole time saying i was a B**** and a P**** and other stuff so the first roller coaster i went on was the Super Man which was a 300 foot drop and you could see the RFK Stadium from the top....after that it was a wrap and i went on roller coasters all the time. And then i got heart surgery and now not allowed on roller coasters at all

Not a big fan of leaving the ground and whipping around at Mach 2 myself.

But up until my late 20's would fall to peer pressure and ride the damn things at Kings Dominion in Richmond and Bush Gardens in Williamsburg. One day we went and I rode this thing called the Alpengiest and I said to myself "I no longer plan on doing this to myself"

                        Haven't rode one since.

I don't know if anything else is close (the only other amusement park I've been to was Boblo in Canada), but I LOVE Cedar Point. The Raptor and the Mantis were my favorite rides. I remember the first time I went there, I got these nervous ticks lol. I was praying they weren't permanent.

I haven't been in about 10 years though, so I haven't gotten a chance to experience the Millennium Force and the other newer rides. Would be great if I could make it there sometime this summer, but Sandusky is a long way from Savannah just to go to an amusement park. Maybe I can make up some excuse to visit Detroit and take a detour on the way back.
                          PS: You guys are great.

I love roller coasters. Haven't been to an amusement park in several years though. I actually plan on going up to Bush Gardens at some point over the summer.
