Re: East coasters and watching sports
Yea... I guess this would all be opinion saying the West Coast is "spoiled" and "have it made" for sports... I for one would not want to wake up at 9am to watch a Sports game on the weekend on my days off. And I also wouldn't enjoy the 7pm baseball games starting at 4pm because I would miss 2/3 of it because of work.
I could keep going on with reasons as to why I wouldn't enjoy it, like I said it's all opinion.Comment

Re: East coasters and watching sports
I watch Monday Night Football and work 6 am to 5 pm. Games over by Midnight. I don't see what the problem would be with working at 9am with that... How much sleep do you need? 12 hours?Comment

Re: East coasters and watching sports
I like the East Coast timezone in relation to sports just fine. I am a night person, anyways, so I never have to stay up later than I would otherwise. Even if I want to watch a 10:30 NBA game, I'm not staying up much (if any) later than I would be normally. Plus, I like having the games on at night so I can get whatever I need to get done during the late afternoon/evening before the games begin.
And college football coming on at 9 AM would suck for me. I don't usually rise from the bed until about noon on Saturday.

Re: East coasters and watching sports
Haha well considering I do wake up at 9:00 AM or earlier, I love turning on ESPN at that time and getting something in.
It sure would seem weird to have PTI come on around 5:30 PM by the way. I don't know, it just all seems off for me. Probably because I don't live over there heh.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: East coasters and watching sports
Yeah I usually don't watch many of those 10pm EST games if any besides the games on weekends. I do find tho that if i'm laying in bed and a late game I find on is interesting I do tend to stay up to watch it. Like that Boise/Nevada game this year, I was almost asleep until Moore completed that deep pass before OT then all of a sudden i'm standing up screaming lol.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Actually games starting at 4pm is a good thing because you can just DVR it and by the time you get home from work, you can skip the commercials/timeouts/intermissions/etc..Yea... Re: East coasters and watching sports
Yeah, but it's tough to watch a game that isn't live. You might hear something about the game or you might not hear something about the game. If a player hit four home runs in a game, you should have heard about it at some point. The fact that you didn't makes you aware that you aren't going to see that in your game.
That's the great thing about live sports; every play and outcome is completely unpredictable.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I guess I never realized the East Coast didn't get PTI at 2:30 or whatever. That's a PRIME TIME show? No way.Haha well considering I do wake up at 9:00 AM or earlier, I love turning on ESPN at that time and getting something in.

And yeah, I love waking up with football on. Only thing it screws up is church, if there's a 10 o'clock start.Comment

Re: East coasters and watching sports
I use to get off work at 4:30 so that wasn't much of an issue since most East Coast games started at 4pm. Just to be careful, I told everybody on my team not to talk about scores.Yeah, but it's tough to watch a game that isn't live.
