Once you get the moves down you could think about doing Kenpo Plus. It is a lot more intense. Kenpo X basically teaches you the moves. Plus assumes you know most of them so it focuses on intensity.

My focus is to drop fat and get in better shape. I think that more of a cardio based workout is better for my goals, at this point anyway. Really, there isn't too much of a difference between Lean and Regular, just a bit more cardio and less weight training in Lean.

I plan on starting P90x Regular shortly after I get back from my wedding/honeymoon in May.

Alright guys I have taken the first step on the road to better health. I have decided to order the P90 version to start. I went with this because my girlfriend decided to do it with me and she was a little intimidated by P90X. So we made a deal that I would buy the first one and when we upgraded she would have to buy the second one.

We did our weigh in today and we are going to do cardio and walks/runs until the disc's show up.

Thanks for all of your input I really appreciate it.

Congratulations, man! It's hard work, but it's worth it.

Keep us updated with your progress, there still seems to be a few of us who are currently doing it.

This weekend was awful for me. Saturday night I slammed too many beers along with 5 slices of pizza. Had a footlong Subway sandwich yesterday, not one of the healthier ones. Worked out Saturday, but just played basketball yesterday since I was a little hungover in the morning.

Today is cardio, and I'm going to push myself to the brink to try and get rid of any trace of all the crap that went into my body this weekend.

Ahh! I am going strong in week two! Two days down. Tonight was my eighth day of P90x.

Saturday was my rest day, as it was my son's first birthday party. I still ate pretty well and did not eat any cake. I'm not that big of a sweets person, so I didn't feel too bad. I did have a couple of beers (just two).

Yesterday I did chest and back again, and it wasn't any easier this time around. I did do more reps, but I am doing push ups from my knees by the second set. I've just accepted the fact that push ups are hard for me and probably always will be, but my goal is to be able to go through the whole workout without ever going to my knees. If that takes a couple of rounds, that's fine. You'd look at me and think, "Why can't this guy do push ups?" I said before that I'm an athlete and I *thought* my strength was decent, but this program has a way of humbling you. It's all good though, I pushed myself and finished the workout.

Hitting play and getting all the way through, while modifying - success.

Tonight was plyometrics and I was dreading it all day long. It was tough the first around and tonight proved to be no different - but it was A LOT better this time around. I definitely felt stronger and my balance was so much better. Before, I could only do the one-legged exercises for a couple of seconds, but tonight I was able to keep my balance and strength going for 10 to 15 seconds before losing my balance. I worked up a very good sweat and my heart rate was sky high (I need to get a heart monitor so I know for sure).

All in all, while some of the moves still present a big challenge, I can not deny that I did not feel a HUGE improvement over my first round of plyometrics. It was absolutely noticeable and I feel great right now.

I am not real sure how much weight I've dropped, as I'm staying off the scale until phase one is over, but I'd guess anywhere from five to 10 pounds. My clothes are definitely looser and my body just feels more tight, especially in the torso/arm area. I FEEL so much better so I know that's proven success right there.

Guys, for as lame as this might sound, this program is really changing my life. The Show came out tonight and I did not rush out and buy it at midnight. Rather, I'll get it later this week or weekend, because I'm pretty focused on P90x right now. Each workout is a huge challenge but the hardest part is getting mentally ready. I am trying to not dwell too much on an upcoming workout, and believe me, that's easy to do. Once you start the workout, it gets better and it proves the adage is true - "hitting play is the toughest part."

My nutrition still needs to improve, because I'm not eating enough calories. I am not starving myself by any means, as I realize the devastating effects that will have on my progress. I am eating good foods, but I think I need to up my calories by about 500 per day. I'll get there eventually. Training yourself how to eat properly is just as challenging as the workouts! I've always been somewhat of a light eater, as my body never needed a ton of calories. Eating breakfast has ALWAYS been foreign to me as my body has always needed two or three hours of being awake before I was ready to eat.

Sorry for the novel, but this is therapeutic for me. To all you guys tackling this beast of a program, keep at it! To those of you who are on the fence on whether to try this out, do yourself a favor and get off! This program is worth it's weight in gold and challenging yourself with it will be the best thing you've ever done for yourself.

It's a big commitment; I'm finding that out more and more every day, but again, it's worth it.

Awesome! Chest and back is a tough workout. Tony said it's world-class and I agree.

Let us know how plyometrics went on day two... It was rough on me in week one, but it gets better in week two.

Oh well. No big thing Wazzu. I'd say the key now is to stay off the scale so you don't get discouraged... I say that seriously. If I have a bad day of eating, I'll stay off the scale and just work harder that week.

I was looking into the lean version, but found that the classic probably helps you lose fat and weight faster. Keep updating your progress as I might hit up the lean cycle after I finish classic.

Keep up the good work man!

Week two, day three (shoulders and arms) is in the books.

Tough workout. In week one, I used the resistance bands. This week, I used 20 pound dumb bells. I found it to be a pretty decent weight for me. The weight felt light on some of the workouts... On some they felt too heavy, especially some of the triceps lifts where I probably sacrificed some form.

I'll need to get more variation on the dumb bells I have... I want to get an adjustable pair, but I don't want to drop $180+ for a nice set, which is what I've heard they can run at.

Yoga tomorrow... Looking forward to it. It kicked my butt the first time around and it probably will again tomorrow, but if I see and feel a marked improvement, I'll be happy.
