The worst thing is the mucus build up in my throat. Took mucinex, but it feels like I can't breathe.

I have a bad feeling I might have this. Started coughing bad Sunday when I woke up. Monday I became quite congested, it's almost impossible to breathe through my nose when laying down. Now I'm running a fever and been getting bad headaches. I think I'll be calling my doctor when the office opens this morning... Hopefully it's just a cold

thats exactly how it started for me. Hope its not TimmeH, but it sounds as though you have the virus, or at least the flu.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Well, I just got back from the doctor and he diagnosed me with "suspected H1N1." He didn't actually do the swab seeing as I'm not in the "at risk" group, and that way I can go back to work after it clears rather than waiting for a full week regardless. He said I'd no longer be contagious 24 hours after being symptom free. Plus since I did get the seasonal flu shot this year, that was eliminated from my possibilities.

Got prescribed Tamiflu and Tussin, now it's time to be a lazy *** for the next few days. It works nice in a way since I'm actually on vacation next week from work, so it'll be basically a two week break(unless I'm better by this weekend, in which case I'll go back just because I feel bad that someone else would have to give up their weekend off for me). This isn't the way I like to spend my time off though. I haven't called in in my seven years working, so it feels weird.

Oh well, hopefully it'll be better soon.

Just take it easy and even if you are feeling better still take it easy. You really want to get a lot of rest. And no I am not doctor, but I play one the internet.

Yeah, all I've done all day is lay around and sleep. The meds are already making me feel better so that's good.

I'm kinda worried about my gf. We live together but she doesn't have any health insurance. I don't think either of us has a spare $300 to get her to a doctor and may for his meds if she comes down with this...ugh

I felt like that this morning. I ended up sleeping until 12:45 PM and slept for over 13 hours because I was so tired.

I started feeling bad on Sunday, but I felt better yesterday. Then, this morning I woke up and felt absolutely terrible. I'm feeling better now, but I felt better yesterday before the worst hit the morning, so I'm not sure if it's over yet.

My head has been hurting and I've had a ton of mucus in my nose and throat. I've been aching and I just feel sluggish.

Fortunately, I don't think it's the H1N1 as it appears to be a cold ... albeit a pretty bad cold.

A couple of days ago, I had a sore throat. That has since gone away, but now I have serious congestion in my throat/head. Didn't realize I had this much mucus, lol. I have a slight headache as well but nothing serious. I also had pretty bad aches in my legs last night but that disappeared as well. Did this happen to anyone else?

I guess they need something to keep ratings up in today's 24-hour news cycle. There always has to be something big to talk about.

Well my sister has H1N1 now. She's a nurse, so its not too surprising that she got it. Of course, rather than being concerned, she was just cracking jokes because she can get over it with proper care

anyone experiencing super-irritable eyes as an after-effect? I'm over the flu, but anytime my eyes are exposed to sunlight I feel like I'm going blind.
