All these pics make me miss having a dog. I'm gonna think about getting one. A lab, probably.

So I am @ one of local Banfield Pet Clinics right now getting our big dog checked out. He can't use his hind legs and has been heavily panting and unwilling to eat/drink since yesterday evening.

Our vet called back, blood work, heart worm, xray etc revealed nothing. Only other course of action would be an MRI ($1,500), or medication (Steriod/Muscle Relaxer) and strict cage rest.

We rescued Dino July 4th, 2011, he was about 3 when we got him. A very active dog, hyper to a fault because he would chase his tail. His tail chasing had become excessive, and I believe this "activity" of his lead to him not being able to use his hind legs due to damaging the discs in his vertebrae.

I have hop he can pull through w/ this treatment plan, but I fear that we may need to put him down....
