Re: Playoff moments that hurt so bad, you wanted to cry?

UConn losing to Villanova in the Big East Tournament final back in 2003 (i think). Not only did they lose but that was the single worst game i've ever seen in my life. If my team loses an exciting fun game then so be it but to lose because the other team ran the shot clock down every single possesion and took away all the flow of the game is just awful.

Also, not playoffs but when Wade hurt his shoulder against Houston going for the steal on Battier. I've never felt so hopeless as a sports fan than i did that night and i'll never forget that feeling. It was a few days before the trade deadline and i think atleast 75% of all the Heat fans were hoping and praying Riley would pull off a major move and land Maggette or something so the Heat could have a decent title defense in the playoffs.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Mine was "The catch" , Joe Montana passing the ball to Clark in the back of the endzone. That was a sad day for all Cowboy fans.

                This.

Also, Packers/Eagles in the Playoffs a few years ago. Packers give up a 4th and 26, Eagles win. Hurts to this day.

Well since the thread has changed since my first post, here you go.

And easily the worst moment ever in sports history, it still makes me want to cry everyday.....

Bingo. Don't even need to mention any moment. Being a Cubs fan is one big moment.

Here are the big ones for me. I still remember exactly where I was, down to where I was sitting in the house, for these five.

93/94 Chiefs/Bills AFC Championship game. Chiefs couldn't do anything on offense and lost 30-13.

95/96 Chiefs/Colts AFC divisional playoffs. Chiefs have HFA but Lin Elliot misses 3 FG's and the Chiefs lose 10-7.

                      96/97 KU/Arizona. Sweet 16 and KU's 34-1 team loses by 3.

97/98 Chiefs/Broncos AFC divisional playoffs. Chiefs have HFA yet again and take a 10-7 lead into the 4th but can't hold it and lose 14-10.

97/98 KU/Rhode Island. #1 seed, #2 in the country, and it ends with a second round loss.

Oh, and I've wanted to cry during every Royals season for the last 24 years, but I guess those aren't playoff moments.

                          This one hurt.
The 07-08 CL loss in Moscow hurt more IMO but that one still sucked. Wasted a crazy goal from Mike.

It didn't necessarily make me cry, but when Tony Romo botched placehold against Seattle I was left really confused sports-wise for a good little while there.

Like a lost puppy or something, I guess.

1997 College World Series: Alabama was the #1 seed in the tournament and defeated Miami in consecutive days to get to the national title game. Roberto Vaz, arguably the best player in college baseball that year, broke his foot slipping on a baseball in practice the day of the game. Bama never recovered and lost the national title 13-6.

2007 ALCS: Indians held a 3-1 lead....all they had to do was win 1 more and I bet they win the World Series...

2004 NCAA Elite Eight Round: Alabama lost on my birthday to UConn in the Elite Eight...I was at the beach on Spring Break and had to watch it on a 19-inch TV in a room full of people being obnoxiously drunk. UConn whooped our ***. They later won the national title but still...
