Re: Did you go to a public high school or a private high school?
Most of the kids I knew who went to Private school there famliy had money, and there kids were brats and spoiled. Unfortunately for me, my famliy struggled and didn't have the dough like that.
Also is you have the money as a parent then more power to ya, send your kids to a good school. IMO, I just think IMO your more prepaid for LIFE in a public school, again only my opinion.N.Y Mets

For a lot of you guys, private school does not equal wealth. We were struggling. It also helped me to gain much better morals than most other friends I had that didn't go to private schools. I'm more conservative which is a good thing to me in these days and times of this world.Comment

Nope, I loved it. Wouldn't trade it for anything. People think that all-boys high schools are the worst, but what they fail to realize is that it's just like one big party with your boys, everyday. You lose all the girl drama and guys trying to compete with each other. I think if you ask everyone from an all-boys high school, 90% would say they loved it.
Anyway, I went to public school from K-3. In 4th grade I went to private school and did that all the way up through college (Stonehill College in Massachusetts)."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I went to a rich public school in the burbs. The town just built a new 55 million dollar high school. Wish I could have gone to the new one instead of the old one.

Public High School.
I have no issues with Private High School students. Moral upbringing is how you were raised not where you went to school. Some of my closest friends went to Private School. The only time I took exception is when we played them in sports. Their training facilities, courts, fields, etc. were so much better. We had some rusty hand me down weights and a hill.Comment

Plus, in the DC-area, there's like 3-4 all-boy schools and like 4-5 all-girls schools. It evens out. It's nice because you can hang out with girls on the weekends or whatever but you aren't forced to see them everyday at school is something awkward happens...
I far prefer my high school classes to college classes. Not that girls are a bad thing for classes, but I had much more fun then.Comment
