I have a question for those who went to Private school all the way up until HS, why did you change from private to public?

I went private from Grade 1 through 6, then finished 7 - 12 at a public school. Undergrad was at public university, grad at private university.

I fell my parents switched me simply because there was no other close alternative to where I was living after Grade 6.
My kids currently go to a private (parochial) grade school that doesn't have a nearby extension after Grade 6 either. Not sure what I'll do with them then.

I went to a private school from kindergarten to eight grade and to a public high school where I was the loner who did his homework during lunch.

That's just making the best use of your time! Why do HW at home when you can get it done at school?

Well, we moved from West Virginia to North Carolina following my 9th grade year, so I just decided to go to public school and save my parents a few thousand bucks per year.

I went to an all girl private school.

Teays Valley Christian School. It was a relatively small school of around 300 students in Scott Depot, WV. I'd say 100 or so of those were high schoolers. My graduating class had around 15 kids, though, so it was pretty small. The grade that will graduate after me had nearly 30 kids, though.

Now, my graduating class has 280+ students!

Public high school (Kittitas HS) and public college (Washington State University).

My HS graduating class had 17.

17 people in a graduating class? Damn.


I think we had around...360 or so. Entire school was around 1,800. Our freshman class was massive. Around 525 kids. Attrition is a bitch though at our school.

I know where that is. I went to Mt. Hope High School in southern Fayette county. My school was really small like 150 in the whole school. My graduating class was only 38 people but we were pretty good in football at the Class A level.

Dang, I'm suprised to see all the low totals for the graduation classes. I guess it's just because I go to such a big school, mine has around 720 people.

I went to Private school from K-8th grade (Graduated with 9 other people haha)
High school was Public (graduated with 500)
Now I am back to Private (Bradley University and will graduate with 1,000+)

Ha....mine too.
I think it was just under 1000 students. 3000 in the school. Crazy.
My high school had no real freshman class(since the Junior High Schools cover that....grades 7/8/9...then you go to high school) otherwise it would be a heck of a lot more.
Graduation always has to be held in a park.
THM....did you go to school up here in N.Y.C.?
I seem to remember you being from here(I think.)
