What are YOU going to do with your tax return money ?

For those who do get something back. Any big plans you have for it ? Down payment on a new car or house maybe ? New clothes ? TV ? Or just going to put it in the bank for savings ?

Well if I get back the same amount I got last year, I plan to get another television for the new apartment, get some things fixed on my car, buy a few video games (probably bayonetta, darksiders and mass effect 2), get the screen on my old laptop fixed so I have another computer in the crib and probably buy about 250 dollars worth of groceries. That's about it for me.

I'm gonna make mt deposit on my Apple gift card and purchase my iMac and then put the rest in the bank.

Looks like about $400 this year after we adjusted our W-4's after a overly large return last year. Likely just stick the money in the bank/investment account....maybe get a blue ray player.

Do the same thing I do every year....invest it. My wife and I have new cars and are closing on a house we built in the next 2 weeks.

I should get 5k or so back this year because my wife bought a car last year and we'll get the sales tax back from the car (if I understand the car sales tax correctly). I think we'll also get a good chunk back from the house purchase as well. I believe Obama extended the first time home buyers incentive to include people who already had a house and owned it for more than 5 years.

For me it's
1. Pay off my holiday credit card.
2. Store mortgage supplement away.
3. Finally finish converting my garage. That's if theres any left. LOL

Well, I should save it... but I'll probably end up using some of it to buy parts for a computer I want to build, and save the rest. I just sold off some old Union Pacific stock that I am saving (also, buying an engagement ring with some of that money as well).

Once I get the ring and the computer, though, I'm going to stockpile my money.

Pay down credit cards
Paint a few rooms inside
Materials for building garden boxes in my back yard for Spring

Hopefully I'll be getting $900 or so like last year, we'll see. Owning a house helps with tax returns, I never used to get anything.
