Yea or ask if they could do a "payment plan". I understand the compassion some people have over others. But I just don't think it is healthy to give and give and give. It is one of the biggest issues in this country and why social security will be gone soon. Everyone has to take care of themselves and if they can't do it. I should not have to pick up the slack. Now I am not talking about a good guy who got laid off and has worked 30 years and can't get a job in 6 months. I am talking about the system lifers. The ones who spend years and years just floating by on someone else dime. Learning to abuse the system like having many kids for tax purposes, using others kids for tax purposes, food stamps, WIC , medicare, and other government programs. All these programs do is breed laziness. Tighter approval process would help for the ones who truly need it and not ones who are using it.
Because in the end every single one of us are paying for the homeless, system lifers, and these government programs. Our tax dollars are floating that family who has been on food stamps for life. Mother applies, child gets old enough they apply, next child gets old enough they apply, etc. It is a horrible situation these "give away" programs have caused.
Teach people to work and give them less and 90% of the mentally healthy people WILL work. They won't sit home collecting a check and food. They would be out trying to find a way to earn money. Only draw back to cutting back on government programs would be crime. Crime would rise a great bit, because many are so lazy they would resort to stealing and what not for their needs rather than work.
Wal-mart is couple blocks from my work. I go there 2 to 3 times a week to get subway. Well it is very disheartening every first week of the month. I go there and it is unreal packed. Everyone has got their food stamps and just stocking their baskets higher than the sides with great food like steaks. They eat better than I do and most don't even work. Why should someone skate by on my tax dollars eating wonderfully while I am a hard working productive citizen and don't get the luxury of having all the excellent meals they get to eat (granted I can buy them, but not in the quantity they can).
