If I'm not watching it with anyone then why not post in a forum? You have a laptop and are sitting on a couch or laying in bed so you're not missing a thing. I generally don't do it for big games (probably because I'm always watching it with someone) but I don't see a problem if someone choses to.

Now if you sat there on your laptop while you had four people in your living room to watch the game with then I'd see a problem.

I generally watch Redskins and UMD games with other people, but there aren't a ton of Auburn fans around and the SEC sports bar is at the complete other end of the metro.

My computer is about 3 feet away from my TV so if I'm by myself, it's not remotely difficult to post especially during boring commercials.

95 percent of the time I'm posting using my phone. And I'm playing with my phone pretty much all the time anyway so its nothing out of the ordinary for me.

I usually only post in Alabama football game threads because I'm not at the game. And typically when I'm not at the game, I'm not with friends because its usually an away game that I didn't care to go to so I'm home at the parents house taking advantage of their theater room and food.

I'm with the OP on this one.

I almost have a better time watching the game alone then with other people. No need to talk about it right then
