Day 2 in the books. Lots of jumping and squats. My legs and lower back are on fire even after a good nights rest.

I can tell this is going to build up my stamina more than P90X would. I liked Plyo in P90X, but this takes all that to an entirely different level.

Day 3 is... let's see... Cardo power and resistance.

My wife is doing this and I watch occasionally. It looks like a great workout but more geared towards cardio like some have said.

Please fill us in on how this goes for you. I am very interested in doing this after comparing P90X and this. The fact that no weights are involved and you don't need a lot of room really appeal to me.

this and P90x are 2 completely opposite workout programs. Your not going to build any mass or get big muscles from insanity. You will lose weight and "get in shape" if you do it right, but there really isnt a way to compare the 2 workouts as they go for different things.

Basically if you took chest, legs, arms, and yoga out of p90x and just did kempo, plyometrics, cardio x, and some of the core synergistics excersizes but turned up the intensity a bit, you can start making it look like insanity,


Another thing with Insanity is that it seems like it depends on the diet to work with it more-so than P90x depends on its diet. Might be something to think about. Perhaps Pared, if hes doing the diet, could shed more light on it.

Another day, more pain!

This time it's the upper body. Yesterday's workout focused a lot on shoulders and upper body, but just like every workout you had a ton of squats and jumps.

I feel my body getting more and more dense as each day passes. Hard to explain the difference between P90X and this... in P90X, I felt muscle growth with the pain. This I'm getting definition and "hardness" from my core and muscles.

Put it this way... you know how Bruce Lee looks? He wasn't huge but looked muscular as hell? I feel that Insanity can do this for you.

Looking forward to tonight's workout - cardio recovery. I need some recovery right now.

This is why I love OS; just yesterday I saw the infomercial for the first time, today I get to hear what people have actually experienced with it.

It looked appealing as a way to get really firm, I definitely can't afford to lose weight though. My primary focus would be getting into basketball shape so the Plyometric stuff sounds interesting. It would be nice to go through something like that to build up stamina and core strength. As I get older (26) I'm noticing little differences in my body, specifically in recovery times. I know a lot of that has to do with being less able to get away with being a bit out of shape.

Anyways, keep up the reports on how it's going Pared.

Yesterday was Cardio Recovery. Nice little workout. Man, I really needed it too. Lots of stretching and holding... not as high-impact as the others.

Tonight worries me though - Pure Cardio. Yikes. Back to the grind.

So far, the first two major days have been the most difficult workouts. I would guess the warmup alone would kill a large percentage of OS. I love it!

I haven't dropped any weight but I'm also making sure I'm still eating properly and I'm def. seeing definition. It hasn't even been a week, so I would say it's just my body becoming re-acclimated to what I went through with P90X.

Would be a great plan for you clipperfan. This certainly pushes your stamina. It actually has a few suicide drills incorporated as well from basketball and football.

Ah yes, Pure Cardio. It is what I do on my cardio days, since I can't stand the treadmill. You are in for it. haha.

how far can you make it without stopping? LOL.

I normally go to the one where your like kneee kicking, like as if you were kneeing someone in the head.

Of all of them pure cardio is my favorite, and since I dont do the actual insanity program, anytime i do it, it is usually pure cardio.

I'm looking to shed about 15-20 lbs. I'm about 6'5" 210 trying to get to a solid 185-190 as I'm starting to get a little pudge. How restrictive is this diet? I hate being too restricted (kinda goes for most aspects of my life lol). The cardio only appeals to me a lot. I'm wondering if this could do the trick for me. What does you diet consist of? Sorry for all the questions.

Ya, exactly what I do. I try to do pure cardio at least twice a week. I can get through the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Then get through the yogo type stretches, then after a couple exercises after that, I can't keep up anymore. I do what I can to keep the heart rate and sweat dripping off tho and that is all I'm interested in. I don't try to kill myself, lol.

the diet is not restrictive at all from a meal standpoint. From a "snack" standpoint there isnt much.

Breakfast-- The usual suspects, oatmeal, omelet, etc
Lunch-- sandwhich, lunchmeat,etc
Dinner chicken, steak veggies

The diet gives you 5 meals a day and it gives you a wide array of choices. It has some good stuff in there. My wife made this lemon chicken recipe and it was awesome man. As far as diets go, this one isnt too bad.

The best thing is that the whole program is 60 days so if your dedicated, you could prob do anything for 60 days. This diet isnt that crazy or restrictive.

Hell yeah! I am going to do my arms tonight after resting my muscles. Time to get ripped baby! Yeahheyahh!

I did Day One of Insanity after not working out for about 6 months. It ended in me laying on the ground for about 20 minutes, then getting up and vomiting in my toilet.

That was the last time I used Insanity.

My fiancee and I are going to give this a go! We found a good deal on CL for a brand new set of DVDs! We'll see how it all goes
