Or some of us don't base a person's worth on their weight. Not all of us are vain and superficial.

Anyway - I got this thing yesterday, so I just need to find the right time to start it. I'm not sure whether to do that pre-fit check thing or not yet.

So people who workout and are in shape are all vain and superficial?

It's human nature to be attracted to someone who is in good physical condition.

Not everyone thinks like you do. Everyone likes different things. Assuming everyone is attracted to what you like doesn't mean it's true.

So people who workout and are in shape are all vain and superficial?

No - but people who think it makes them better than others, and that somehow a guy wouldn't be able to have a good looking girlfriend because he's not in shape, are.

Well that is true. Perhaps i should have said the vast majority of people are attracted to people in good physical condition.

I do agree on that point. People who think they are better than others because they are in shape are usually tools. My main reason for working out is the health benefits and to keep the spark alive with the Mrs as I'm happily married and not looking to score with other women. I do think that people in general naturally assume a fat person is lazier in all aspects of their life then a fit person. Not saying it true or right but that is def the general perception in society. In shape people generally get more respect imo.

A friend picked this up last winter but hadn't used it at all. I did the fit test once on 1/3 (at 238lbs) and again on 2/23 (at 228lbs) and the difference was pretty big as far as what I was able to get. I'm tempted to try it again as i'm now at 218 but i'm doing a 12 week heavy lifting program (started with the bar on 2/14, up to 230 on squats) 3x a week that i'm pretty committed to (and Insanity is too intense to do both).

I'm thinking about doing at least Cardio Recovery on my off days; I know there is a lot of stretching but its still Insanity. I've hit a bit of a fat loss plateau and i know its either cardio or diet thats going to have to bend and Insanity is the most tolerable cardio IMO.

EDIT: Looking back, basically what ehh & jonesy are talking about will probably be what i'm going to try.

I think I have to alter the schedule for this. It's drainin' me, between my leagues, work, the wifey and family, the little bit of energy I have is getting murdered because of superman one handed pushups.

It was going so well too.

After reading through this thread I went ahead and picked this up on Ebay. I started last night with the fit test and man am I out of shape. Playing basketball at an open gym once or twice a week is not cutting it. Hopefully I don`t die tonight.

I just did the fit test and that chick murdered me on everything except the first exercise, hopefully this will give me good results like P90x, just need to resist chick-fila milkshakes.

Well day one officially whooped my *** last night. My legs are completely dead after doing Plyometric Cardio Circuit up tonight is Cardio Power & Resistance.
