    Well I started Insanity this week. The fit test wasnt that bad. However, yesterday my first full workout (Plyo Cardio Circuit) absolutely killed me. I was fine throughout the warmup and strethch. However, I really had a hard time keeping up with the later portions of the workout. I was really mad about this too. Before I did this, I did 2 rounds of P90X and never had a problem keeping up. I hope I'm able to keep up today.

    Did anybody else experience this when they 1st started????

      Which is why Insanity > P90X IMO.

      I still feel gassed after doing Insanity. Love the HIIT stuff.

        Believe me, I've been doing it for about a month and half now and I still feel that way. Don't let it get you down though as you will see some of the people on the videos have to stop a few times through as well. I know I still have to. I have yet to make it from beginning to end yet. Except for Thursdays LOL!!

          Just did the Plyometric Cardio Circuit. Holy crap.

          I'm considering a cold bath right now. I recorded my heart rate at about 160 at the highest.

                I took my second BJJ class today and I'm absolutely dead. The thought of trying Insanity against tomorrow just makes me want to cry. I'm bruised up, scraped up, and every muscle is killing. I'm still going to jump in, though.

                BJJ is absolutely 100% insanity, too. I've done a lot of sports in my youth, but this kills all the ones I've ever done. I didn't realize there were so many muscles in one's body.

                  I did day 3 today. Had several days where I didn't really have much time. This one was crazy. He was doing those triceps things and I was dead after about 5. Then he starts doing 1 leg up triceps pushes and I started laughing like "yeah right".

                  Those squat hops and pushups were deadly, too.

                  I went through 3 bottles of water on that 40 minute workout.

                    Just finished my first week of insanity with the wife and as a P90X grad...I must agree with everyone else that Insanity > P90X. It has kicked my ***.

                    Today is my first rest day (we started on a Thursday) and it is definitely needed. My legs have been continuosly sore for six days straight and walking up the stairs at work and at home has been a chore.

                    Like P90X it's a love hate relationship...I hate every part of it while I'm doing it, but am thrilled with the way I feel afterwards.

                    I have been able to keep up mostly, but definitely take short breaks through out the workouts. I can't believe how much I sweat during the workouts, even after the second and third rounds of the warmups.

                    After one week, I feel like I am already seeing a bit more definition in my stomach and am excited to see how it progresses over the next 8 weeks. I don't feel like I'm getting as solid as an upper body workout as with P90X, but time will still tell. I definitely felt as fatigued with the pushups and dips with insanity as with P90X, so only time will tell.

                    Oh and the females in Insanity > the females in P90X as well!

                      Quick question for you guys: what kind of ceiling clearing do you need for this? I've been wanting to do some of these at-home plyometric workouts instead of doing them at the track or gym but my workout room/office only has about an 8ft clearing with me being about 6ft tall. I'm assuming you are doing a lot of jumps with your hands up and such.

                        Just started the 2nd Month of workouts last night. Had to do the Fit test first and then Max Interval Circuit. Almost an hour and half later I just fell to the ground. I'm really feeling it today. First of all, 7 hours of sleep on the 2nd month of this workout is not going to cut it. I woke up today and man I felt like a truck had hit me.

                        I read in this thread where someone said they could just feel their blood flowing faster after doing this workout. Well, I'm still feeling that way after last night's workout. This 2nd month is going to kick my ***! However, I LOVE the feeling and cant wait for tonight's workout.

                        I'm down to 166. Not sure I'm going to reach my goal of 155. However, I'm finally starting to see Abs for the 1st time in my life!

                            Man, we are approaching our recovery week and I am not looking forward to the second half of this program. Going from these 30-40 minute workouts to these hour long ones is going to be tough.

                              So how is Insanity as far as getting in sports shape? I'm going back to college in a month and have been very lazy and need to get into semi decent shape for intramurals.

                                A ton of plyo, so it would be benefit your running and jumping, which is going to help you in most sports.
