I'm so glad to read this. I did Day 2 this afternoon, and that stretch absolutely killed me. I could barely force myself to drag through that last set. I was starting to wonder if the workout was too much for me, but it sounds like this is as difficult as Month 1 gets.

Seriously Whitesox that pic had me rolling.

I wonder if anyone has pics of someone who has been through this program 2 or 3 (or more) times?

Yeah, it gets better man. It's by no means easy to find the energy to finish the last few sets of these workouts, but compared to the first day, i'm miles ahead of where I was endurance wise.

I'm a little nervous about tomorrow. First day of pure cardio AND cardio abs. We'll see how it goes.

GL with it mate. I have it tomorrow as well and am kinda afraid!

Just polished off power and resistance and it was without a doubt my best workout so far. I've already noticed I can push myself harder than when I started and despite being tired when I did it (I worked all day in the yard etc and then did the workout at 5pm) once I hit play it was on!

              Re: Insanity

              Week 2 complete.

Today slaughtered me. Pure cardio is bad enough. With cardio abs right after, it's pure torture. I figured the warm up would be nice and easy after doing pure cardio, but he has you doing the equivalent of power jumps with a focus on your abs during the warmup. I couldn't even really get through the warmup.

To top it off, the last half of cardio abs is ALL plank work, with various high and low plank ab exercises.

Quick question. I know i'm pushing myself harder each day with these workouts, but i've noticed, my peak heart rate during these exercises is on average probably 7-8 BPM lower than week 1. In week 1, I was frequently over 190, and now, at peak, i'm at about 182. Is that normal to lower your peak heart rate as you get in better shape? I assume it is, as I know its not for lack of effort. I was pushing as hard as I could through pure cardio and hit I think 183 or 184 max.

The girl on her back with the red shorts keeps me going every workout. Not only is she a smoking hot blonde but she NEVER quits. In the entire program I never saw her stop once. Every time I want to quit I look up and she's still going strong. She's my Insanity girlfriend.

As for me I just finished Month 1, Day 3. I thought going through it the second time would be easier, ya not so much. Since I'm in better shape I can go harder, and wear myself out even more. That's the beauty of the program, you get outta it what you put into it.

Good job Kearnzo! Yeah the fitter you get the lower you resting heart rate goes and it takes more to get your max heart rate up there. When ever you hear about those ultra fit dudes like triathletes etc they always have ridiculously low resting heart rates. So it's a sign you are getting fitter for sure.

That's so true. The fitter you get the more you can push yourself and more cals you can burn, its a great system that's for sure.

I'm so annoyed right now. I woke up this morning and I have a NASTY ingrown toenail on my right foot. I can barely walk on it let alone even consider doing a cardio circuit or something like planks where your whole weight in on your toes. It's still morning here but if it hasn't greatly improved by this afternoon I'm afraid I'm going to have to stop the program until it heals. Shouldn't take long but it is still annoying!

Just did MAX Cardio. Wooooooooooooow. That was easily the hardest so far.

If, by the end of this, I can do that workout without stopping at all, then Shaun T deserves a hell of a lot more than he made on this program.

Man, Pure Cardio is hard enough.

Just finished the week 3 fit test. The difference is astounding. Week 1, I only got through 3 exercises before I was over the toilet. Today, I finished the test with plenty left in the tank. Pretty decent numbers too, although I needed breaks a couple times. A minute of power jumps absolutely kills you.

I checked Shaun T's wiki's to see his background etc and apparently his hip hop abs dvd was the highest selling dvd in the US the year it was released so you would hope he made some cash for that and insanity. I always wonder with this sort of thing if a guy like Shaun would come up with the program himself or would other people then he is just picked to be the face of the program etc. Either way the guy seems like a cool dude and is way less annoying than Tony Horton with all his corny jokes.

That's a pretty amazing difference in just two weeks. GJ man you are obviously pushing yourself.

You mentioned your 'coach' in one of your previous posts, did you mean a beachbody coach or just a friend?

She's just a friend. She actually just got her Insanity shirt in the mail for completing the program.

It sounds crazy, but I really look forward to these workouts each day. There's something about pushing myself to the absolute limit, and KNOWING i'm getting results that keeps me coming back.

Doesn't sound crazy to me, I'm exactly the same. To be honest I have been a little depressed having to take these last few days off with this damn toe and I really can't wait to get back into it. I am missing the sense of accomplishment you get when you really push yourself and get through one of these workouts.

Hope it heals quick for you man. Better to be safe than sorry though, especially where this is such a high impact workout. It shouldn't take you too long to get the endurance back up, although the first couple workouts after I missed 4 days from being sick were pretty brutal. After that though, I was good to go.
