I can't run like that, my knees dislocate. Or at least they used to. Do you have any idea how painful that is???

Last night I went out to eat where no one should go out to eat if they are on a diet... CiCi's Pizza. Their slices are small, but I had like 10 slices and a slice of apple pie pizza LOL. I love CiCi's I'll just have to be a little better today. I'm not really on a diet anymore, I just like to watch what I eat so I don't gain weight anymore.

I've never been to CiCi's before. I will try to keep that going if it is good. the last thing I need is another pizza place I like.

It's a pizza buffet place with all kinds of different pizzas like buffalo chicken pizza, macroni and cheese pizza, bbq, apple, and all the classics as well. Plus these awesome cinnamon rolls LOL.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

I will have to put up a before and after picture of myself. Last year at this time I weighed about 225lbs and I am down to 174lbs. I was eating a lot of crap and drinking too much pop. I was drinking a good 4-5 cans a day, 1-2 cups of coffee with Hazlenut Creamer.....then add in fatty foods throughout the day. Another problem that I had too was that I did not eat breakfast, which my coffee was breakfast.

I wasn't drinking water as much either, which is bad. Now I drink about 6-8 bottles of water throughout the day. I also introduced salads, yogurts, and oatmeal into my diet which was lacking before. I still crave soda, but what I do is drink either 1/2 a can at lunch, or will drink 1/2 at lunch and 1/2 at dinner.

All that extra weight was just not worth it at all. I love to eat, but I was going overboard like tomorrow was our last day on earth. I also cut down on my portions which helped a lot.

Wow that's just wrong. You can live off it for short periods of time because your body has extra fat and muscle to burn for energy. Your body will go into starvation mode though so you will see your energy drop drastically and your weight loss will slow. If you then go back to eating a higher calorie diet you'll quickly gain back any weight you lost.

You don't need to do all this crazy stuff to lose weight quickly. Eat a healthy balanced diet with regular exercise and you'll see the results quickly enough.

If he's not hungry then why should he eat extra calories to conform to some standard? Those caloric intake charts are standardized and may not apply to those with a slowed metabolism. I'm 260 pounds, according to nearly every fitness site I've gone to I should be able to eat about 2,300 calories a day with the amount of exercise and the type of food I eat. If I ate that i'd be gaining weight every week.

Each person has to figure out what works for them. I agree he shouldn't be starving himself but I am not starving myself on 1,200 calories a day but from what folks say I am not eating nearly enough calories.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

I think his point was that Sting needs to be careful with limiting himself to a point he cannot realistically maintain over the long haul. Your diet ODogg, seems like something you can conceivably still be doing in 5 years. Sting has already been able to maintain <1000Cal for short periods of time before, but it isn't realistically conceivable over a long time span. If he pushes his body into a "starvation mode" he will both hit a wall on his weight loss and when he starts to fall off his diet he will rapidly gain back any losses he made.

It's kind of like your fasting idea (I think it was yours). You can do it every once in a while, but you know it isn't something you can do over an extended period of time. I'm in no way diminishing what either of you are doing and think it's very commendable, you just have to ensure it's something that is sustainable.

How can you not be hungry eating less than 1000 calories a day? That's literally starving yourself. I'm not saying you have to go strictly by the caloric charts because everyone is different, but you have to use some common sense.

It depends on what he's eating. If you eat a big bag of vegetables, like I have for lunch today, it's 120 calories for the entire bag. And unless you're a big eater that will fill you up. There's no real way he could be eating 900 calories a day and not eating foods that are low in calories but yet filling.
