Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

Depends on what he meant by melt, sandwich size? two pieces of bread times two?

As for me, this morning is simple:

    Oatmeal, weight control portion (170)
then for a snack later i'll have a banana so my total for the morning will be 250 Calories.

Working on keeping it light and low in calories as i'm going to have some beer tonight.

A melt HAS to include cheese if I am not mistaken.

I don't think it has to be wrong KG. Tuna is hardly any calories. 1 english muffin might be 150 max.

It all depends on what's in the tuna DC.

        Tuna Melts are usually:

        Tuna (Mayo???)
        Cheese
Some kind of salad dressing (usually thousand island i think)

Multiply that times 2 for 2 sandwiches

I'm not trying to call dude out just curious.

DaveDQ - congrats on gettnig in the size 34 pants. I can only dream of that. My pants are like 6 inches too big but I belt them. I don't really want to buy new clothes until I finish losing the last 40 pounds.

You are right, I didn't even think about that. Nobody is just going to eat tuna straight out of the can on a sandwich.

It's got some excess sodium in it, but I'll eat tuna with a bit of hot sauce poured over it to give it some extra flavor. At least you save on some fat intake.

Today could be dangerous for me. I'm already craving a Blue Moon with an orange and some spicy garlic wings at BWW

There's nothing wrong with an occasional cheat meal to preserve your sanity. If you deprive yourself for too long, you're eventually going to gorge on junk food. Just keep it within reason and you'll be fine.

Sting - If you do go there: drink a water or two and get a salad first with some light dressing and wait 20 minutes after you eat the salad to get the wings. Also only order 6! If you want more later then deal with it then but don't order any more than 6 initially.

Oh and just another tip, that may or may not work for you: you can get the grilled naked tenders and dip them in your favorite sauce and save massive amounts of fat (and some calories too). It sometimes kills my cravings and other times does not. Just something to think about.

Well...it's official. Today is gonna be a good day. I added 4 shots of rum to my berry smoothie.

disclaimer: I know it's 10 in the morning. I don't have to work today and the only thing on my planner is 9 holes of golf and maybe Buffalo Wild Wings for a Blue Moon

                        Whatta day

Very good idea OD. I could dip those in spicy garlic to get my fix.

I hear you. These pants were given to me about 2 years ago. They gave me about 4 pair. They're really nice, but my fat butt wouldn't fit in them. Last Fall I was going through my clothes and couldn't get rid of them. I was close to a 40 waist then. That's when I felt I had to make some changes for sure.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.
