Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in
Inspired by Odogg's long dog walking sessions I got up early this morning (its sat here) and walked the dog for an hour. I feel great and its a good start to the day.
I'm usually very healthy during the week and then fall off the wagon a bit on the weekends. That was the old Jonesy, the new Jonesy is going to use the extra time on the weekends to walk the dog and hit a hard weights session.
Still had a few drinks last night though....Comment

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in
I wish i could find some decent dudes to play bball with around here. None of my friends play basketball but it's much more enjoyable than just shooting around by yourself all the time. I don't have the time to commit to a full team because or work travel but i'd love to play at least twice a week if i could.
Totally agree with the beer thing, I don't think I'm ever going to totally give up beer, good scotch /whiskey and red wine regardless of the health benefits.
Diet today has been the usual so far:
Bran cereal, skim milk, low fat yogurt and a bannana
Some lean ham and some almonds for a snack.
Will probably just have a salad for lunch and then tonight I am baby sitting my 10 year old niece so i'm going to try to cook a healthy version of a Pizza.Comment

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in
I calculated the Tuna Melts before I posted.
Tuna- 90 calories for 6.5 ounces. I ate the whole package.
Horseradish Sauce- Substituted for mayo. 1 TBS = 25 calories.
2 slices of Thomas light English Muffins Whole Wheat- 100 calories
2 slices Arnold Thin Whole Wheat Bread- 80 calories
2 single Slices of Fat Free Cheese- 50 calories for both slices
The Tuna and the bread = 270 calories
The horsey sauce plus cheese = 75 calories.
Overall calories 245 calories.
I did miscalculate by 10 calories somewhere, but I don't think you were questioning 10 calories.
They were homemade Tuna Melts where I can control the calories vs purchasing Tuna Melts outside the home at some diner or restaurant.
I hope that clears it up.
I'm watching my calorie intake very carefully and cautiously.Last edited by roadman; 04-16-2010, 09:00 PM.Comment

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in
Have any of you guys tried or heard of Euro Training? It's what Terry Crews uses.
I think it's one of the better workouts out there. It can definitely get you those perculating pectorals that we all want.
Here's a video of some of the exercises:

I don't want to be "average" but I'd take pretty well built over fat any day of the week.Comment
