I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: 6.9 earthquake
I'll report each aftershock that I feel, or if there's any further damage to my property (knock on wood).
EDIT: Just in class today I felt two very minute rumbles. They both lasted for only a second, though no one else seemed to have felt them. I guess those are just the minor ones. But the one earlier this morning lasted for nearly a minute; if it was enough to wake me up and make my heart race, then *** ****.Last edited by Blzer; 04-05-2010, 01:48 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: 6.9 earthquake
Be safe everyone.
I couldn't imagine a one minute shaker, I hated the 15 second one in '89. I remember sleeping with my shoes on that night, and having them next to my bed for months.Comment

Re: 6.9 earthquake
That's strange. I'm almost right on top of the epicenter, just due north and it's been a fairly quiet day with a couple jolts, but nothing lasting a minute.Comment

Re: 6.9 earthquake
And it could have been because I was seven stories up that I felt it, as it probably rocked the building a bit more. Again, I'll let you know if I feel anything else and you can let me know the same. I just hope they end soon. Knowing that this massive blue ball actually experiences regional tremors kind of freaks me out, especially when I'm so high up.
EDIT: Oh, and by "this morning" I mean at 4:30 AM, not the really small second-long rumbles that I felt between 10:00 and 11:00.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: 6.9 earthquake
LOL, I did the same thing in '89.. And everytime there was an aftershock, I jumped out of bed and ran for the doorway. I probably slept a grand total of 15 minutes that first night.Comment

Re: 6.9 earthquake
Maybe it was more like 40 seconds, but when I was lying in bed terrified, it felt really long.
I've stopped watching CNN and am going on with my life now.Nothing more to report, except my blessings.

Re: 6.9 earthquake
The aftershocks can come from other places besides the original epicenter as the other faultlines and things settle after the initial jolt.Comment

Re: 6.9 earthquake
We're not that far away from the epicenter. Plus the aftershocks have been following the Elsinore fault line and the other fault lines adjacent to it (there are a couple in the Los Angeles Area).Comment

Re: 6.9 earthquake
I just felt an aftershock that went off an on for 70 seconds (I timed it this time). A major shake with a few minor shakes afterward.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
