                  It reminds me of in Rat Race when the guys would literally just place bets on anything. Evan is probably a part of a larger group where they're just creating hypothetical scenarios left and right.

                                I'm still not as convinced as everyone else that he was lying, but the longer he stays away, the more it seems he got caught and doesn't want to face it after his initial responses.
