Living in South Florida, EVERYONE has a pair. Back when I lived in Indy I used to hate them and thought they were quite 'gay'. But once I moved down here, I bought a pair for the beach and I've actually grown to really enjoy wearing them where ever and when ever. They go good with pretty much every casual summer time outfit and they're far more comfortable and convenient than shoes.

So I guess as they always say, "Don't knock it till you try it."

I think I would have to question the sexuality of some of you guys paying so much attention to what other dudes are wearing.

You're right. I noticed a guy wearing flip flops and thought the dude's foot was gross, so clearly I'm gay.

I use to be the same way. I use to hate flip flops but my junior year I bought a pair when I went to the beach on vacation and I wear them in the summer now. Like jeremy said earlier sometimes shoes don't look good with some shorts.

And all my shoes are pieces of **** so I'm excited to wear flip flops again lol.

Not knocking the OP but I don't give a damn what others think about me. I'm going to wear what is comfortable, if you don't like it stop looking at my feet.

Am I the only person on this earth who thinks there should be a law against guys wearing flip flops in public? At the beach? Fine. In the privacy of your own home? I don't care what you do there. But I don't want to stare at your gnarly toes while I'm eating my lunch. Be a man, wear regular shoes.

I'm fully prepared to be the only person that has this opinion, but I needed to vent a little.

I agree. I hate flip-flops, sandals, ect.

Who knew this was all it took. I thought taking care of your wife and kids and what have you, was what it was all about...who knew it was all about the footwear.

I don't understand why some one is 'gay' if they were flip flops or sandals. If they are do you have a hatred for homosexuals then? I myself am not gay but I love sandals when it's hot outside.

I wear them a lot, usually only inside the house though. Occasionally I'll wear them walking around campus, but eventually I regret because my feet start to kill me if I walk long distances in them.

I don't know how you notice the nasty feet though. I see dudes walking around in flip flops all the time and am never really able to see what their feet look like.

I love nice weather so I can wear my Under Armour flip flops. I never used to wear sandals, but I bought them on discount when I worked at Dicks a few years ago and last year I stared wearing them almost constantly when the weather is nice. It's so easy to just slide them on instead of putting socks and shoes on. Plus, my feet tend to sweat a lot and get stinky in shoes and socks, so I don't have to do my sock laundry so much and my feet don't smell as bad.

I live in flip flops here in Denver. Even during the winter I have them on, unless its a blizzard........then I struggle putting normal shoes on. If my bank would let me wear Khaki shorts and flip flops to the office, it would be the greatest job of all time!!
