Now for a real horror story...not necessarily because of the girl, though. That was really embarrassing: I was on a first (and last) date with some girl. We sat at some casual place - and we sat outside. So I took off my glasses while we were talking (obviously, I look better without glasses). But I made a terrible mistake: I had to go to the washroom, which was inside the restaurant and I didn't take my glasses. You've probably guessed...I bumped into the window instead of the open door (thankfully no injuries - not to me and not to the window). It was so humiliating! Not only she looked at me laughing, but there were enough people there for a little stand-up routine. Gee...after that incident I didn't returned to that place for like a year or so...

That's what I think as well. Now...must...resist...urge...to call her and text her constantly...lol. So far i've done well though, no facebook posts about anything, she texted me yesterday about some small talk and I texted her back. Nothing today at all.

I was happy she came back to the house as well. I think I finally met someone who is big of a night owl as myself. Of course she's a sleep tech so she's used to being up all night. Hopefully her being able to stay up all night will help later on if things go well *wink wink* *nudge nudge*

I have a few horror stories, but here is the most recent one. About four years ago (I was 21 years old), I was bored and on MySpace just looking for a random female to chat with. I was just sending messages to any female that I felt had an interesting page. Eventually I got a message back from this really cute girl. We talked back and forth for a few hours before she had to go run some errands. She asked for her number so she could text me. The texts led to us setting up a date for that same night. She wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese, so we did and we actually had a really good time. For the next few days we talk a lot and I'm starting to like this girl. But then things just got ridiculous. She would email me and text me every couple of minutes. If I didn't respond she would send a text like "Are you just ignoring me. Don't ignore me". And then she would send me one five minutes later like "Are you ok, you're not hurt or in danger are you". I would try to be nice about the whole thing and just explain that I couldn't text while I'm working and I would text her in between breaks. But needless for me to say, the longer I let it go on, the worse it became.

Because she didn't know exactly where I lived and we didn't live in the same city, I figure I could just stop responding to her and she would eventually go away (I know, ***** move on my part). It took a WHILE before she stopped hitting me up. Its funny, I actually ran into her a few months ago. She just walked right past me without acknowledging me. Thank GOD, lol.

Set up date 2 and you know you're good to go. She's still texting, so that's a good sign. I'd definitely try and do something this week or next weekend with her if I were you.

I texted her something on Sunday and we exchanged a couple of texts. I said I was going to the video store and she said, I have some movies I can bring over if you like. So I said, cool, come on over. So she brought her Generation Kill set over and we watched those all day yesterday together. I asked her if she wanted to go see Freddie Krueger friday in that re-make so we have that set up.

CWSapp - that's my worst nightmare man, seriously. My last g/f was not even that bad and I dumped her very fast for that nonsense! You were smart to get out while you still had a cooked rabbit on your stove one night!

Good luck ODogg, her coming to your place is definitely a big positive. As someone else said, no way she'd come over if she wasn't very comfortable with you.

I only met one chick online, through Match. Chick was obviously crazy.

So I signed up right after college because I was single and a few of my boys from college were doing real well using Match as a hook up site. So I registered and found this one cute chick who was an ex-volleyball player. 5'10, great body, blonde, so-so face. Pretty much the stereotypical vball chick.

So we plan to meet at some bar near her place, I show up five minutes late because I assume she'll be 20 minutes late and I was right. So finally she shows up and we break the ice for a few minutes, I can tell she's a party chick pretty quickly so I start in with my usual sarcasm. In less than a half hour I can tell I'm in. Eventually we go back to her place and start making out. She brings me into her bedroom, it's probably midnight at this point and she goes into the bathroom. We're a little buzzed but nothing crazy. She comes out of the bathroom butt-*** naked lol. Smokin' body. So she climbs into bed and gets under the covers. So I'm thinking I'm slick and climb under there and start 'feeling around' and she slaps me and asks me what I'm doing lol. She says she only makes out on the first date...yet she's butt naked in front of me/in bed with me. So at this point I ask her for a ride back to my place and she says no. Too expensive to get a cab from there so I decide spend the night. I roll over to go to bed and she climbs on top of me lol. Crazy chick. I just shoved her off and eventually fell asleep.

Next morning she doesn't want to give me a ride back either (trying to keep me around for whatever reason, not cause she was pissed) so eventually I tell her we can stop and get breakfast near my place. She parks her car near my place and we walk to a little spot a few blocks over. We're walking through this little park and this broad tries to hold my hand. No. She stops in her tracks and asks why I won't hold her hand and I said because A) I just met her B) She ain't my girl. So in the middle of a semi-crowded park she starts going off, calling me insecure, an *******, I have emotional issues, etc. At that point I just turned and started walking in the opposite direction and took the long way back to my apartment. She texted me a few more times asking to see me but I never responded, and never went on Match again.

Kinda makes me glad i never got into any internet dating before meeting the Mrs.

Sure there would be some great success occasionally but there would be complete psycho's as well (which i suppose is no different to meeting women at a bar etc).

That crap definitely crossed my mind. It woulda been like a $50 cab ride home though so I said eff it, plus when it comes to getting booty you know I was going to give it another crack in the AM when we woke up.

Jonesy - if you take your time online you are probably more apt to WEED OUT women that are crazy from talking to them via internet, email, IM and on the phone. So IMO it's much BETTER than meeting random women in the bars.

I agree, but the big downside is chicks using the "myspace angle" and being way different in person. Just have to learn and recognize so you're not overly shocked when you meet someone lol
