Re: When Pouring a Shot of Liquor....
LOL. No kidding.
I am a big fan of Vodka. Not really Grey Goose any longer. I have moved on to Imperium or Russian Standard (both are made by the same company). Chopin is a potato vodka out or Poland that's very good as well. All three of those I prefer over Grey Goose.
As far as Vodka being not manly enough I have some Russian friends, whom I doubt anyone would say that to their face.
However if people need to feel better or more macho about themselves based on their drinks of choice, that's on them. I find it rather funny.Last edited by bkrich83; 05-31-2010, 11:37 PM.Comment

LOL a whole lotta "I'm too good and manly for those drinks" in this thread.
Can't say I'm all that impressedComment

There isn't. It's like the flip flop thread. too many dudes around here overly concerned with what other guys are doing. Insecurity I guess.Comment

Re: When Pouring a Shot of Liquor....
Whiskey and Rum are better.
I am speaking strictly in drinking these alcohols by themselves.
Mixed drinks are a completely different argument."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Now your speaking on the grounds of "culture". I don't put mayonnaise on my French fries, but people do, its gross.
Whats funny is I state my opinion, and the oh so tolerant people....get oh so defensive and hurt when any opinion differs from there own.
You guys should go have a couple cosmo's together and talk about shoes."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Re: When Pouring a Shot of Liquor....
Apparently.
I'd take (nice) Vodka and (nice) Tequila over any whiskey or rum.
If I had a limited budget, I'd probably go with a cheaper rum, but since I don't drink enough, when I do I'd rather drink something better and, for me, the nicer Vodkas (Grey Goose, Kettel One are the only two I've tried more than once) or nicer tequilas.
But hey, more power to you if drinking rum and whiskey makes you more of a man.Comment

Wasn't hurt or defensive. Actually read that last sentence you wrote and tell me who's feelings are obviously hurt. Now your speaking on the grounds of "culture". I don't put mayonnaise on my French fries, but people do, its gross.

I guess, I just don't care what other dudes are drinking nor do I care what other dudes think of me drinking what I drink. If it makes you feel better about yourself, all the better.Comment

I don't drink tequilla. Which is funny living so close to Mexico. I like rum, but have to be in the right mood for it. The different whiskeys do nothing for me. Personal preference I guess.Apparently.

As far as the vodka's. Try Russian Standard if you get the chance. There's a couple of potato vodka's from Poland that are very good. We like Chopin.Comment

Re: When Pouring a Shot of Liquor....
Wait a minute? You are saying drinking Vodka straight is what the ladies do? I am hearing that right. Drinking that **** straight will **** you up royally. And is a lot stronger than whiskey. Why do you think people add OJ or Cranberry juice to vodka?Comment

Re: When Pouring a Shot of Liquor....
I've had a little Polish potato vodka (my family is partially Polish so we had a bottle at the past few Christmas celebrations), but never really got to figure out what it was like. I'll have to give it, and Russian Standard, a look next time I head to the store.I don't drink tequilla. Which is funny living so close to Mexico. I like rum, but have to be in the right mood for it. Re: When Pouring a Shot of Liquor....
OH OK they might taste better, but I have not seen too many women drink Vodka straight, but I have seen them drink whiskey straight, so which drink is truly the man's drink and which is truly the woman's drink?Comment
